  1. Better than the 50% certainty of AFL rules and decision making
  2. Could be close to the mark. Depends upon Garland's face and Viney MRP.
  3. And despite what most drool over, our stocks in reserve are not that deep. Apart from Gus, Oliver, Salem and Trenners the rest are NQR and by no means certainties to be part of our future. Milkshake and Weed will be in the team next year. Gus and Salem have long term health issues which leaves us at the moment with jack sht, to put it bluntly.
  4. No wonder why 2 out of every 3 shops on Fitzroy St are empty Biff... reputations lost when entertaining BBO, never to recover. It's why the dinosaurs no longer roam (outside of this thread, of course)
  5. Yes, we got sucked into the niggle too easily, got worked up by the back chat. The stupid face slapping by Viney on Ebert that gave away a goal was a classic example. Probably cost him a week or two as well. The eye scratching by Port was pretty sloppy and not in the spirit. Even the commentator called the one on Jetta an "investment" if I recall correctly.
  6. Except only Dunn has played this year and he was less than impressive. All three would struggle to pick up the pace of senior footy next week, especially against the speed of the Hawks. Sitting ducks I would think. I'd include one or at most two (would put Dawes into that mix) and include Oliver and maybe AVB if fit enough. Unfortunately we get exposed for having too many borderline passengers on our list (Newton, JKH, Garland, MJones, Terlich, depending upon your pov) and a bunch of raw guys who may or may not make it but it's too soon to tell (OMac, ANB, AVB, Kent, Frost, Harmes, Hulett). We badly miss a sizeable band of 24-27yo senior quality players that top 8 teams generally have. We have guys like Pedo, Dawes, Lumumba in that age bracket that offer less than what we need. Who are the senior leaders that have led by example week in week out? IMO only NJones, Vince and Jetta. Side track from thread topic I know, but despite not having a first round pick, I'm looking forward to seeing who we recruit at season's end.
  7. Jamar having a set shot and nails it!
  8. Rubbish. Tracc has only been injury free from about round 2, unless you are claiming he should've played last year on one leg. Dumb logic.
  9. BS, been available for a few games and you have made that assessment? Rising Star last week. McCartin has played 10 games in nearly one and a half seasons.
  10. Wake half the team and see if they can be bothered turning up. In mix for Outs: Newton, ANB, maybe Kent and OMac (not sure we have a better option than him though), Garland (concussion?) In mix for Ins: Trenners, Frost (back), Dawes/Pedo (forward) and Oliver Require a jolly good flogging: Tyson, Garlett, Kennedy and Hogan's set shot. Updates please?: Lumumble, Salem, AvB
  11. Fast opposition transition still killing us. When a team has good run and spread on the outside we tend to struggle. Happened against Ess, St K, WB and now Port. We were 2nd to the contest way too many times and Port's ability to hit a target to advantage was immense. Their pressure in the middle was well planned and the use of Trengove and Westoff to isolate Gawn and create a second avenue was a big factor, despite Max having a big 2nd half. Tactically they beat us by qtr time before we knew what had happened.
  12. I take it you don't rate GWS then this year?
  13. More like the 'out the back' game than the 'out back' game
  14. Is that a record for out the back goals? More scores out the back than bbo at the local bowls club
  15. C'mon Dee's, play one cracking quarter of footy and we win! Show us we have made a big step today.
  16. Big Max is lifting! Where are Tyson, ANB and Kennedy? Did they miss the bus back from Uluru?
  17. How can more than half or team be passengers today?
