Agree Benny, but who are our 26-30 year old leaders that will help drive those young guns in the way the mature leaders of Syd, Haw and Geel have? That's a hole in our list that needs some serious thought. Viney seems to be growing into that role, but he's still so young. I don't consider NJones a great leader, but he's the best we have. A mature leader or two who can play a bit would be very useful next year.

Agree. He has a good football brain is a strong communicator. Can see him being an valuable teacher of young footballers.

Haven't been back to Whitten Oval since that win against Footscray in 1987. Very fond memories. I was young and full of hope and joy. Now not so young, but still looking for that spark again from football.

Absolutely Jaded. Diabetes, concussion and being a chronic baby giraffe put him behind the 8 ball. I wonder if the Hawks will understand his strengths and work with them rather than simply expecting him to perform to stay, which is what I suspect we did. I saw him in a game vs Adel (I think) where he kicked 3 rippers and also watched him vs WB where he shut down Boys and had him subbed and thought he was worth persevering with.
