Agreed, but the Weed is our future, so it's possible Roos and Goodwin have recognised Pedo as a handy depth player who gives his all. I have a soft spot for hard working big men who can clunk the ball and throw their body around.
Gee, three first round picks if Prestia goes to Tigers. Two go to Freo for Fyffe leaving them one first rounder. Not bad for GC.
Regardless of how they got them, three round 1 picks becoming Fyffe and a first rounder sounds ok to me, assuming his leg is ok.
It beggars belief how much money has slipped and continues to slip through Essendrug's fingers. If it's not legal fees, it's fines, or its Hird's hush money and o/s study, or its player compo or its over inflated contracts to keep players.....
Guys like Paul Little and Andrew Muir must be continually pulling blank cheques out of their pockets.
Wonder if they're funding the Hird Junior's school fees in Paris.
Poor bastard. Hope his health picks up. Don't wish for anyone to possibly give up a career because of repeat concussions. Footy can be a tough occupation.
What's amazing is that you selectively edited my post to remove context and then failed to realise that the rest of what I wrote largely sums up what you were saying.
Agreed Daz, unless there is a suitable trade.
We've been blessed with minimal injuries over the last couple of months. If the 2 Macs went down, Judy and Dunny would play. Whatever individuals think of them, we need depth.
You're not alone in that thought Jack. From the oitside he appears to do all the things you mention. Not sure I'd drop him though. If he's fit I'd rather play him into form. He's our best KPF and we sometimes forget his age and games played. Well, i do anyway.
He's going to be our dominant forward for the next 10 years (assuming he stays). Playing him at Casey when fit isn't a good idea IMO.
Scary place JRT. If we win and you are wearing red n blue, make sure to carry a bunch of coins you can throw in the air to distract the rabble whilst you run out. Also, park the Merc at least a 30 min walk from the ground, unless you like key scratches. Good luck!
So for guys with a basketball background coming into AFL, what would their football strengths and weaknesses be?
I read people talk of their good peripheral vision and awareness.
What would a guy like Maynard need to work on heavily now that he's at Melbourne FC? Foot skills?
