Sam Weideman + contract
Correct me if I'm wrong DS, but I seem to recall that Adelaide offered Lever a ridiculously low amount, something like $270k pa. I'd call that insulting for a guy rated as the best young defender going around at the time. Weid hasn't yet got the runs on the board that Lever had. I'm sure Mahoney and TViney will know exactly where he's at and what would be a reasonable offer. They are well aware of what happened to Lever, they were instrumental in his decision to leave!

Sam Weideman + contract
Wonder if the club will get his contract sorted now or later in the year. Doing it now gives the club certainty, resources and time that can be spent on luring another big name, as well as re-signing our younger brigade. We still have money in the bank from Hogan's departure. Leaving Weid's contract until later in the year gives us a clearer picture of his true worth.

Sam Weideman + contract
Would like to see $450 with incentives to get to $650. Eg. 20 games and 40 goals per year, finish top 10 in blue, etc

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - KADE KOLODJASHNIJ
Give him time. He's had only 2 games with us and hasn't played much footy over the last couple of years. Will get a mix of Casey and senior games this season (injuries permitting). Was a sensation in his 2nd year, that ability doesn't just disappear. Only a fool would write him off at this stage

Who will the Demons target next?
Omeara signs for 4 more years in a deal designed to give them the SC space to go after Coniglio, who is a FA this year and best mates with Omeara

Club Communication is Poor
I'm not the one making ridiculous comments. You make a broad, sweeping statement based upon your experience as a teenager and call it 'an opinion'? I call it bull [censored]

Club Communication is Poor
What? are you for real? You're saying people who recieve poor service deserve it because they are obviously whingers? Can you supply some stats to back this up? Thought not.

Who will the Demons target next?
He looked slow and lacking agility. Not sure he will get back to the best he showed at GWS. Was also a salary dump by GWS. They have a number of players better than $cully that need re-signing

Changes: Rd 05 v St. Kilda
Unless due to concussion, Omac will not be dropped. Bank on it.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BRAYDON PREUSS
Id be strangely pleased if all of our forwards ran out of puff but were still able to kick 2 goals each (should've been 3). That's some effort for 40 mins, especially given the shoulder injury #preussmyths (with apologies to stuie)

Heartbeat
I vaguely remember a box to tick about receiving this in the post. Or maybe it was to receive an e-copy. Can't be sure

And yet he arrived back in Melbourne with his arm in a sling and was a no show at training today

Who will the Demons target next?
Seb Ross would be a handy acquisition

Worried
The way to overcome their run and spread is to overwhelmingly win the contested ball and pressure their mids through guys like Harmes and Stretch playing run-with roles (Gresham and Ross) Our backs will get slaughtered if the Saints' outside mids take control.

Round 4 Non MFC games
I believe there are degrees of pushing HI. Perhaps the blind umpire thought the push was excessive, particulary given Brown's flailing arms and Nureyev-like pirouette

Round 4 Non MFC games
Polec and Ziebell are pretty good players as well. They have a number of young guys in their 1st or 2nd seasons that have good potential. Pity their coach is a prikc though

Lack of marking.
He used to initially, and was/is quite a good mark. I think he's either been told to punch or does it habitually due to lack of confidence. I get frustrated watching every Melbourne player near a backline (and forward line) contest either flying for the mark or spoiling our players going for the mark. And no one staying down to mop up. All up, no one down. Jetta is a classic at this. He is a good mark and intercept for his size, but not as the 4th man up!
