Nev actually went to ground. If Frostie hadn't come in, Carlton were away. Having said that, Nev's second effort once he got to his feet was great. I think it was a joint effort, but Frostie's efforts seem to have been overlooked.

Great to win despite playing poorly. Best were obvious, TMac, Clayton, Nev et all. There were some who could be forgiven for poor games. Hoges + Smith.But really. Kent + Stretch were terrible. And some of the turnovers from experienced players were shocking. Lewis + Vince. This was a match that MFC would have lost in previous years. That's the difference between this team, and MFC teams of previous years.

Agreed. How often is MFC a goal down after 1/2 minutes? Answer: too often.

MFC had an unbelievably injury free 2016 season. I knew it would come back to bite us.

Hawthorn and Collingwood are truly dreadful.

Watching Hawthorn v Collingwood. Shocking standard, so many turnovers and missed shots for goal. Not sure who I "want" to win. Kind of like the dilemna would I prefer cholera or typhoid. My "enjoyment" is enhanced by the commentary team of Bruce "demented shrill" McAvaney and Brian "fat turd" Taylor.

I don't care less what these commentators say, favourable or unfavourable. It counts for nothing. The only thing that matters is onfield performance.
