  1. I loved him as a player. Since then I've had a couple of personal interactions with Mr Lyon. But as a result of these interactions, my love for the bloke is but a distant memory. Genuine s#@% bloke.
  2. GWS were appalling in the second half. SJ was an embarrassment.
  3. I agree. Hope he decides to kick more next season.
  4. I was there too. And the next week v Swans. And the week after that (face palm).
  5. Go in a time machine + dont swap the kelly draft pick (#2) for tyson + salem
  6. Bring back night football at the Lakeside Oval !!
  7. Those John Northey sides were not overly talented. But, by God, they had a real go!!
  8. I haven't listened to or watched any footy shows since the debacle.
  9. You forgot to mention the need to improve foot skills and decision making.
  10. Titus is one of the most amusing writers I have read. He's great. However, little to no humour in his latest offering. As a Demons' supporter he is genuinely hurt. I don't blame him.
  11. I'm less upset than most others because I suffer from MFCSS. A pessimist is a well informed optimist.
  12. Well, there is one difference. The supporters care about winning ...
  13. Perhaps they're still hoping to sell finals tickets?
  14. The team may well improve in 2018. But so will most of the other teams.
  15. I was at the Preliminary Final in 1987. That was way more disappointing than the weekend's events. I had zero expectations that MFC would make the finals this year despite being seventh after round 22, let alone beat Collingwood. I have chronic MFCSS. They are a team/club that cannot be trusted.
  16. A FB "friend" (a filth supporter) posted on her page "Bye bye Demons". Charming.
  17. I was there in 1987. That was worse. What happened this weekend was so predictable, so I was well and truly prepared for the inevitable outcome.
  18. They also specialised in giving up goals at the start of quarters.
