  1. Can't believe anyone could omit Robbie from their list!! Well, perhaps the young uns who didn't see him play have an excuse. I loved Garry Lyon as a player. But as a bloke ... hmm. So I guess that's why not many posters have not included him in their lists.
  2. I saw Madderlake at the Trak venue about 4 years ago. They were really good. They opened with the Salmon Song. Of course they did their biggest hit 12 lb toothbrush. But best of all they played/sang my favourite ML song Song for Little Earnest. I play in an 80s cover band. I know Madderlake's former manager. She and Madderlake's bass player (Kerry McKenna) came to our last gig. Hello. Is anyone still reading this?
  3. Sniffers. STFU you disgusting pig dogs Eaters. Particularly of stinky food. And/or those who make disgusting squelching noises. Farters. People who talk very loudly on their mobile phones. People, usually blokes, and usually fat, who wont move across from the aisle seat, so I have to push past them unnecessarily. People who dont make any effort to move their legs when you have to push past them. (My approach is simply to bang into their knees.) Unduly nervy people who insist on leaving their seats well before reaching their destination stations. The fact that I am invariably the oldest person in the carriage.
  4. Who doesn't love Malthouse? Or Hird? Or Tripplechins for that matter?
  5. Well, after reading the FB posts I must conclude that he is certainly no gentleman!!!
  6. I set next to him at the footy last year. (Unfortunately it was at Etihad v St Kilda.) He's a friend of a friend. Top bloke. Bought me a beer.
  7. I met Richard Clapton yesterday. Nice guy. His ladyfriend offered to take a photo of me with Richard. I accepted that offer.
  8. I can't believe that anyone actually watches that show.
  9. PD, i think you are overestimating him. He is at best the sycophant's sycophant's sycophant, but more realistically the sycophant's (x3) sychophant. If you follow my drift.
  10. lol. Sometimes it's hard to remember the start of his question, if in fact the jumbled convoluted leviathin of words constituted a sentence . He lives around the corner from me. He's an OK bloke (friendly) for what that's worth. He has 3 very young kids despite being no spring chicken. So he'll need to work for a long time.
  11. I used to live in Sorry Hills. My ex wife still lives there. It suits her. I hate Kennett. He is the embodiment of evil. I've seen WD play a few times over the years. One time was in the Phil Manning Band at the Pacific Hotel at Lorne early/mid 80s.
  12. Worst movie I can remember is Crocodile Dundee 2, followed by any other movie involving Paul Hogan, followed by Red Dog.
  13. There seems to be something in the air ...
  14. Alas Smith & Jones was a reference (supposedly humourous) to Alias Smith & Jones.
  15. I loved him as a player. Favourite player in fact, well other than Robbie of course. But I've come across him at close quarters on a number of occasions since then. Not a great bloke. Having said that, I hope he recovers from his mental issues.
  16. Garlett should be given the occasion run in the centre square to get him into the game if he's having a quiet one.
  17. Yes, he loves the Dees. He's a top bloke. He has a Youtube clip of him kicking the winning goal against Adelaide on his mobile phone!!
