I think Orios are grossly overrated. Gaietys are really good possibly my favourites. I don't like Chocolate Ripples. And I think Chocolate Ripple Cake is best left to 5 year olds. Marie/Milk Arrowroots are the very essence of boring. Family Assorted - abysmal. Especially the biscuits with the yellow (pus) filling. And the squashed ants biscuits are also terrible.

Malt'o'Milk are even worse. And naming those other biscuits 'nice' is the greatest misnomer of all time. But getting back to the topic at hand, here's a thought. I agree with those who have said not to cave in. If a reasonable offer is not made, then keep Hogan. If Melbourne has an excellent season, JH may be encouraged to change his mind about leaving.

The buzzword ATM seems to be "brand". I think JH had seriously damaged his brand. If he stays, whether by his choice, or the clubs' inability to reach agreement, I doubt that Demons' supporters will view him in the same light. And if he goes I doubt that many tears will be shed. Sad really. The club has bent over backwards to support him.

He should retire now to save further embarrassment. Never had the intensity nor love for the game. I'm sure he'll otherwise make a success of his life, hopefully doing something he actually enjoys.

With all the talk about Port, did you all read that Jack Watts came 21st in their B+F ?

The club has been extremely loyal to JH. Ned Kelly's (supposed) last words were "such is life".

I think Timm House deserved to be delisted solely on the basis of the abysmal spelling of his Christian name.

I agree that he should retire. Not just based on today's poor showing. Football is a young man's game. He's too slow.

My son was coward punched. Hit a hard floor. Knocked unconscious. Chipped teeth, broken nose, face cut/swollen. Thankfully no permanent brain damage. The Gaff punch wasn't a coward punch at least. Brayshaw was facing him. The comments that Gaff could face gaol time if charged are clueless. First time offenders NEVER get gaol time.

I suspect I'll be howled down but I would like the club to say that they are no longer pursuing him. Show loyalty/solidarity to/with the Brayshaw family. We wouldnt have got Gaff anyway.

I've probably said it before (sorry, but I'm a senior) but one of his real weapons is his ability to kick with both feet. So he doesn't have to 'wheel around' on his preferred if the best/first option is to quickly kick with the non-preferred. It amazes me how many players can't kick with both feet. Jack Viney would be so much better if he could kick with his right foot. Same with Dom Tyson. Don't start me on Robbie Flower ...

Well written/thought out post Dee93. Not sure I agree though. WC is the perfect team for Gaff. Not sure that he'd be as good at MFC. Also he's a few years older than Hogan.

It is 100% correct. I used to go to the footy (Melbourne matches) with Andrew, his mother and younger brother. All Demons! Father was (and is still presumably) a Tigers supporter. His younger brother used to be a Tigers supporter too, but changed to Demons. I bet he regrets that !!!!
