It doesnt seem an outrageous draw for the premiers. Against teams in the 8 in 2020 when they won the premiership, Richmond this year were given two games against Brisbane, Saints and Geelong. They also played Port and West Coast away. Amongst the other teams they played the Giants twice and Freo and Suns away. (they lost to both Freo and Suns) I dont see ours as being a harder draw than that.

many thanks for this brilliant resource. I think you may alter Tom Sparrow's age on completion of his contract. He turns 22 in May next year.

May you live 100 more years

As a club that has a comparably small membership, we are currently in a wonderful position to encourage new members. With a premiership, Gawn, Petracca, Oliver and Pickett just about all tastes and dreams are covered. Of all those I think Kozzie is just about the most likely to lock kids on for life, in the same way Farmer did 25 or so years ago.

I can recommend a rest watching the Brisbane or Geelong finals or round 23

The Petracca v McCartin debate reprised

I just had a look out of interest and i doubt whether has been a better draft year for Melbourne than 2014 From the players drafted in 2014 we now have Petracca (2) Brayshaw (3) Lever (14) Neal-Bullen (40) and Langdon (54). Even the two Melbourne players no longer with us had serviceable careers Stretch (42) 47 games, and Oscar McDonald (53) 82 games including 1 for Carlton. There are only 37 players drafted that year still on AFL lists. Only 16 have played 100 games. -
Forgive me Demonlanders for i have also sinned. Many years ago i was heard to mutter: "The only good thing Max Gawn will ever do for this club was to puke on Tom Scully" I think i got it wrong.

I take it Robbo is now of the view that the swap of pick 2 (Josh Kelly - 34 on list) for Tyson and Salem (27 on list) is now determined in Melbournes favour.

It has been telling to hear from a number of players over the past week or so attribute their season in part to conversations with Goodwin. They include Oliver, McDonald and May (via Hibberd). May and T Mac have had terrific seasons but just imagine if we had lost Oliver.

Just checked on their record against top 8 teams this year. It was one win and 9 losses. The one win was against Essendon in May. The only thing that can be said in their favour is that they had a pretty hard draw as it transpired. I think only Melbourne (8 - 2) and perhaps one other team played that many top 8 teams. I am not convinced about them

I really enjoy coming to this thread occassionally for entertainment to help me last through until next Saturday. In previous years I would have been visiting 2 - 3 times a day to find the next magic selection that is going to propel the Dees to the Grand Final. For once the banter rather than the information is most appreciated. Keep it coming

There are clearly two households a couple of streets from my house. They were decked out with scarves and balloons on Saturday. I believe it is a permissible breach of curfew laws to sneak around and pop the white balloons.

Thanks for that hint. I have just spent a very happy half hour trawling through some of the pre-draft comments. I can say however well done to Mach5 and Wells 11 who were among the early supporters. -
Brownlow tipping. 1,2,3 and club best total.

I think you will find the AFL can take votes off Miller. He is ineligible having been suspended earlier in the season. -
Stuart Dew came back from a year out of the game and i would think numerous hamburgers, moved to Hawthorn and won a premiership. *Aged 29 when he mmoved to Hawthorn

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JAKE BOWEY

Listed in Wikopedia as winning the Rising Star nomination this week. Either an enthusiastic Melbourne supporter who knows how to put these things in or could be (properly) accurate -
Just some confirmation that we are moving into premiership contention according to experience. We had 12 players who have played 100 games out there last night. We also have McDonald, Viney and Hibberd who have played over 100 games. Just some confirmation we could be there for some time, we had 8 players who are under 22 years old. Hunt (94 games) and Fritsch (80 games) were the outliers. I dont know if it accurate but the AFL site has Harmes playing only 54% of the game. If true, it was an extraordinary effort to have 25 possessions and may explain why I didnt see much (if any) of him in the last 15 minutes.

The last twelve hours has been more stressful than the lockdown without Demonland

He and Graham Wise were my first hero's as a kid. In the case of John Lord, it may have been in anticipation of my current hair style.

He is too young for them

What? Pick number 1 in the draft.

Many thanks for this. It saves me searching for each team seperately. I note there is a small error in that you have put Geelong down for 4 games against top 8 teams. They actually have only 2 with 3 against 9 - 12 teams. I thought last week we had one of the hardest runs home. Now it doesnt look so bad by comparison.
