  1. I'm going to wait until our final list lodgement to do this. We don't know about players like Rivers, Dunn, Dawes, Wines, Pederson, Ray etc. It could look a lot different.
  2. If Tippett went into the draft things would become very interesting. Would we take him if he's available at pick 4? Would he already be gone by then? I'd put money on it that he wouldn't slide down to Sydney's first pick.
  3. I voted Toumpas, but he won't be available. After him I want Wines, O'Rourke and Grundy (in that order).
  4. I can't wait until they feature Isaac Weetra.
  5. One time a policeman pulled Jack Viney over. The policeman was lucky enough to leave with a warning.
  6. I give you a 0% chance of Jamar being moved on at this trade period. I'm not saying that we definitely won't pick Grundy if he's available (which I don't think he will be), but Jamar will be a Demon in 2013.
  7. Jamar just signed a 3 year deal. He isn't going anywhere, no matter how much you want Grundy.
  8. That was under Prendergast. Things have changed I hope.
  9. Okay so put Sellar in the backline. But what about shifting Watts/Garland/McDonald forward to take the pressure off Clark? Or do you think that we should keep them all in the back half as well? I've watched some footage of Pedersen (I realized I've been spelling his name incorrectly up until now) and he looks pretty good, but I don't want to spend pick 20 on him. Pretty much the only issue that I would have with getting one of Pedersen/Dawes/Gumbleton would be spending pick 20. I'm fine with packaging a player+later pick for one of them, but I think we need to try our luck at drafting a good midfielder.
  10. If you're playing Sellar as the second tall in the backline, what would you do with McDonald/Garland/Watts? One of them could be moved up to FF or CHF (after all, they were all drafted as forwards), but if you were going to do that is there any need for Pederson/Dawes/Gumbleton at all? If we're going to get one of Pederson/Dawes/Gumbleton, they will just be a place-holder until Hogan is ready. I don't think we're going to be competing for a finals spot in 2013, so I think it's a better investment to hang on to pick 20 and use it on the best available player. If we can snag Pederson with our third rounder I'm all for it, but otherwise I'm happy with Sellar.
  11. It's also important to be mindful of giving GWS the first four picks in the draft. They're going to be a powerhouse as it is, no need to gift them any more high draft picks. Hang on to pick 4 and use it on the best available mid, that's what we need. Simple.
  12. That is a role that Sellar is more than capable of filling, though. I'm all for getting Pederson OR Dawes at the right price, but not both.
  13. There's an article on the AFL website saying that Carlton will be observing the trade/free agency period and not participating. I've also read that they are not interested in Dawes. His options at the moment appear to be limited.
  14. Just buy 2 extra guernseys. Problem solved.
  15. It'll be available on Trade Week Radio, which can be streamed from the AFL site.
  16. It better be a rumour. I'd rather wait a few years and build a side that will compete for premierships than have a quick-fix that will see us MAYBE scrape into the eight only to have our @sses kicked in an elimination final.
  17. Pick 4 should be moved ONLY for an elite player or a MD pick. Anything else and I will seriously question the direction we are heading.
  18. While I agree that Port Adelaide have produced better on-field performances than us in the past decade, the off-field issues that they are experiencing at the moment are much worse than ours. We currently have a stable (and most would say competent) board and we are financially sound. On the other hand, Port are struggling to find someone who wants to coach them as their "candidates" are dropping out faster than they can find new ones. Their rivals, Adelaide, are on the rise and I think it is highly likely that Port will lose many supporters to the Crows. I would much rather be in our situation than theirs.
  19. It's nice to know that we're not the only ones struggling.
  20. I wouldn't be against that idea. I disagree about Gawn though; he was in and out of the side in 2011 and missed all of 2012. I think he is a fair way off from securing a spot in the 22. Edit: Assuming that what you mean by "right to go" is 'AFL ready'.
  21. If we trade Martin, yes.
  22. A few months late on the response, but it was Armando Galaragga. This is the best footage of it I could find, since the MLB removes almost all footage put onto YouTube.
