  1. Thanks for the detailed report, BH. Also thanks to Steamin' Demon for the photos! Much appreciated by those who don't live in Melbourne.
  2. 1. Whitfield 2. Toumpas 3. Plowman 4. Wines 5. O'Rourke 6. Stringer 7. Grundy 8. Mayes 9. Menzel 10. Grundy
  3. I like the look of all that. Hogan has already leaked that he's #1 (both in our hearts and on the field) though.
  4. He's allowed to join us at any time, just as Hogan has. He is a Demon and the draft has no bearing on that. I assume he's still up in Ballarat taking care of his VCEs before joining us.
  5. You're changing what you were saying. You went from saying that the number "has bought (sic) us nothing but trouble" to saying that the number shouldn't be worn by average players. Give it to Dawes and let him make it his own.
  6. It would be nice to give #31 to somebody who wants to be a Demon to help erase the Scummy association that many have with it. Unless he doesn't want #31, that is.
  7. All I have seen of Davis was in the NAB Cup last year, but to me he looked like a good prospect. As has been mentioned, with the addition of Gillies and Pedersen, and the re-signing of Dunn and Sellar, we have an abundance of talls in the backline now. I can't see Davis getting a game in our team. So, I think it's likely that Davis will be de-listed and we use either pick 70 or a pick in the PSD on somebody that fits the bill of what we need (midfielders or small forwards).
  8. If we take him, that would only give us three places on our list going into the draft. I think it would mean that we'll need to de-list at least one, if not two players. With Gillies coming in, as well as the re-signing of Macdonald, Dunn and Sellar, I think we'd be saying goodbye to Jetta and Davis.
  9. He's smiling too much, it's unacceptable. I wish we hadn't picked this guy up, he's just another Colin Sylvia. Does he think that footy's fun or something? *This post is sarcastic, for all those who are unable to grasp the most basic form of "humour".
  10. I think that at pick 4, Wines is likely to fit into all three categories. He will be the best available (or the surest thing available-- depends on your definition of the "best available") He's what we need. He has a good relationship with Viney and is keen to play for the Dees.
  11. The Blue Jays have reportedly acquired Jose Reyes, Mark Buehrle, Josh Johnson and John Buck in exchange for Yunel Escobar, Henderson Alvarez, Josh Nicolino and Adeiny Hechavarria. One of the biggest trades I've ever seen the Jays do... today is a good day.
  12. I can't find the link now, but someone posted a bunch of pictures of training from earlier this week. It seemed that the smile couldn't be wiped off Hogan's face; he looked like he was loving it! MFCSS is well and truly alive. Not sure if it's my computer or not, but none of these images are displaying properly.
  13. 2010: McDonald 2011: Green 2012: Grimes/Trengove We don't need to change the captaincy every year. Let Trengove & Grimes have a crack for a few years at least.
  14. Has anybody heard anything re the contract negotiation status of Bartram, Jetta and/or Davis?
  15. And yes, I agree with you...the top 10 is definitely firming. I think it'll be something like this (assuming Plowman goes at #3, as the HS predicts): 1. Whitfield (GWS) 2. Toumpas (GWS 3. Plowman (GWS) 4. Wines (MELB) 5. Stringer (WB) 6. O'Rourke (WB) 7. Grundy (PA) 8. Mayes (BRIS) 9. Menzel or Macrae (RICH) 10. Daniher (ESS)
  16. I think I read somewhere yesterday that Tippett has failed to nominate for the National Draft, and as a result of this will be going through the Preseason Draft (assuming he is allowed to be drafted after all the penalties he is facing are said and done). Edit: Here's where I read it
  17. Plowman's a Dees supporter or Wines is?
