  1. Those collars looked absolutely ridiculous. Add in the colour issues (as already mentioned), the terrible and awkwardly placed emblem (I know, I know, some of you liked it), and the ridiculous stars on the back and it really made for an awful guernsey. It's quite impressive how badly we managed to stuff up a red V on a navy blue jumper.
  2. I reckon that we'll still have a go at Prestia, and if he says that he wants to play for the MFC we'll make it happen. Regardless of what Kennedy becomes this season, Prestia would automatically make our team better.
  3. I don't think other clubs would try to screw us over at the risk of ending up with a player that they don't want.
  4. Just take it one breath at a time.
  5. What makes you confident that Weideman will be around at #7? I would love to have him in the red and blue, but most phantom drafts seem to think he'll likely to be gone by our second pick. I wouldn't be upset if we took him with #3, though I think we'll take Parish and then the best available tall at #7.
  6. I'd be very surprised if we didn't take a tall forward with one of our early picks. I think the club is very keen to keep Jesse happy, and I'm quite confident that part of this plan is to recruit some high-level young help for him. Whether this is at #3 or #7 remains to be seen, but I can't see us taking two mids.
  7. I can't wait until he requests a trade to us at the end of 2017.
  8. Thanks a lot Tasman. Really looking forward to hearing the reports once the whole squad is back on the track. Hope you're able to make it to a good chunk of trainings over the preseason.
  9. I quite like that shirt, but can't seem to find it in the online store...
  10. The more I think about it and the more I read, the more I like the sound of Weideman. Given what Hogan said the other day about watching a lot of footage and studying potential draftees, I wonder how he rates the forwards in the draft.
  11. As nice as it would be to see him re-sign soon, I don't think that there's any reason to worry until at least this time next year.
  12. I think he's the best natural talent that I've seen in my time supporting the Dees. He could've been absolutely anything.
  13. I don't think that anyone could have predicted what would happen with Jurrah. Everyone that saw him play was awestruck.
  14. The NB logo looks to be a bit of an afterthought, doesn't it. Love the logo, but the asymmetry on the polos hurts my brain.
  15. I do agree with you on that, though I suppose my reasoning is based on consistency rather than peak performance. It really depends on how you're judging the team: on their ability, on their best season, or on their entire body of work.
  16. Chippa really only had the one great season. Everything else was pretty meh. Rivers was consistently good for us.
  17. I disagree, ignition. Look at some of the most recognizable logos in sports: etc....
  18. Captain: Jones Vice Captain: Viney Leadership Group: T. McDonald, Dunn, Vince, Jetta
  19. This is what we should have been doing ages ago. We are Melbourne's club, and we should market ourselves as such.
  20. What do you guys think this means? New logo, perhaps?
  21. Awesome marketing strategy, regardless of who it's organized by. Would be awesome to get some kids down there to have a kick with two of our most promising young guns.
