Which clubs to rise and fall 2016
Good Times Grimes replied to Dommygun12's topic in Melbourne Demons
At the risk of looking like (more of) a moron, here's my ladder prediction: West Coast Hawthorn Sydney Port Adelaide Bulldogs Geelong Fremantle Melbourne Richmond Adelaide GWS North Melbourne Collingwood Gold Coast St Kilda Essendon Brisbane Carlton -

Great shots, as usual. Thanks Six6Six! -
Even if we don't pass them this year, I'm willing to bet that we'll win a premiership before they do.

Too bad. I like Newton, but this will make it hard for him to improve his tank in an important year for him.

Great shots, 50! Not too many skinny players running around anymore...it's good to see. -

Thanks Moon. I love hearing about the new recruits, even if it's only about their enthusiasm. -
There were also rumours about then sticking there noses around during the most recent trade period. I imagine that most clubs would be very interested in recruiting Tyson if it came out that he was available.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY
Good Times Grimes replied to MadAsHell's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed. What's good about them is that neither of them will take a backwards step. Part of the new Melbourne breed. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BEN KENNEDY

I think that Kent's disposal and decision making are markedly better than Kennedy's. -

Is there any way of automatically scrolling to the first unread post when opening a thread, rather than opening each thread to the first post? -
Didn't go as well as you would have hoped against the Jets, though the team in front of him did him no favours. It would be a hard life being a Maple Leafs goalie.

Thanks for all you do, Rafiki! -
I scanned this post very quickly and read "Someone went down...Petracca or somebody similar" and my heart skipped a beat before reading it properly. As far as I'm concerned, Petracca can play as much badminton as he likes, so long as it means that his knees are okay.

A shutout will do! He became the first Maple Leaf in history to get a shutout on debut. Well done!

So you're saying that there is EVERYTHING to worry about???

Your surprise packet for 2016
Good Times Grimes replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him play ~10 games in 2016. Long-term injuries happen, and if the club wants to play both him and Michie, they'll be able to figure out a way to do that. -
About time! He's been brutal for a long time now. Hoping that Sparks can give us something!

Your surprise packet for 2016
Good Times Grimes replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
Maybe I've jumped the gun a bit there, but I liked what I saw from White, and by all accounts he generally has very good disposal. My post was more aimed at my desire for high quality disposal coming out of the backline. -
Petracca looks like he's just one big muscle.

Your surprise packet for 2016
Good Times Grimes replied to dazzledavey36's topic in Melbourne Demons
He is very good defensively, but it absolutely kills the team when the ball is turned over in the backline, which he is an expert at. I'm not saying that he's alone in this, but if we're going to become successful we need to drastically improve our disposal as a team, especially in the back half. At this stage I prefer Salem, Jetta and even White due to the fact that they don't turn it over as much as Grimes. I can't see him being more than a depth player in the long term. -
I think he's saying something along the lines of "Just have fun out there and do your best, that's all that counts"

Current best 22 playing "early 2000s" football
Good Times Grimes replied to Fitz Fitzpatrick's topic in Melbourne Demons
Agreed. I could watch it on loop all day and still find it amazing. -
I wonder why this technique never worked on Jack, it sure as hell would get me to do whatever it was Neeld was ever so politely asking:
