  1. I think Jones will play a few games, but I doubt that he'll be on the list in 2017. While his kicking isn't great, what I do like about him is his pace, which is something that we have struggled with in recent times. Roos seemed to make his intentions with Terlich pretty clear in 2015; I doubt he'll get a game. I liked that he showed desire and competitiveness a few years ago when we needed it most, but the fact of the matter is that he just doesn't have the ability. JKH is a victim of his own success. He impressed in his first season, but suffered from the second year blues in 2015. Because of his early performances, some posters seem to forget that he is only 20, was selected late in the draft, has already played 22 games despite his size, and struggled a bit with injury and being the sub this past season. He broke into the team for our last match of the season, and showed glimpses of what he's capable of. On top of all that, he's contracted until the end of 2017. I would say that he has exceeded expectations so far. Give him a break.
  2. Where does this come from? Yes, it was made clear that we were willing to listen to all offers during trade week. No, Watts didn't get traded. That doesn't necessarily mean that no one was interested in him. It means that the offers weren't good enough.
  3. With a reasonable degree of confidence (and the closest images I could find to the silhouettes)
  4. I'd like to see 30mins of the best footage of Bernie on the [censored]. I reckon he can't be matched once he's got a beer in hand.
  5. I'm sure that every Demonland member is on the edge of their seat, waiting to see whether I got the next four right as well #bannerwatch2016
  6. His 3 kicks and one handball in the Grand Final were four of the best possessions I've ever seen
  7. I'm pretty sure there was a loophole in the rules that meant that GWS (and GC the year before) could sign players a year prior to their current contract ending. There was also a rumour that Scully wanted to back out of the contract with GWS as the public pressure built up, but it was too late for him to do so.
  8. I'd be very surprised to ever see him leave Port Adelaide, but given his best friend (Jack) and his old footy mentor (Todd) are both at the MFC, you would think that having both of them in his ear might sway him if he were to decide to leave Alberton. We've got a solid young group of competitors, a good coach, play at the home of football and should be entering our window in a couple of years. I can understand that he doesn't like the idea of playing for a club that "passed" on him, but most people at the club from that time are gone.
  9. I suspect he'll remain at the Power, but I think we'd be a very good chance if he were to choose to leave.
  10. I doubt and hope that the MFC would not be considering this when deciding which players to target. That is the AFL's problem to solve, not ours.
  11. The club, Jones, and by all accounts his surgeon seem confident that he'll be good to go in round one. I'm not concerned.
  12. Of course there were others that didn't play well for four quarters...that's why we've been a bottom 6 side for so long. Howe is a downhill skier. He plays well when the rest of the team plays well and almost always goes missing when the heat is on. He was lucky that we didn't have too many decent HBF options waiting in the wings last season, as I think there were several performances that he put in that deserved a run at Casey. I'll miss his highlights, but not much else. I'm happy to have Melksham take his place. I'll leave it at that.
  13. You don't think it's possible that the coaches tampered with B&F ratings slightly to increase players' trade values? Much easier to snare a second rounder for a player that finished top-10 than a player that finished 18th. Even if B&F voting wasn't adjusted at all, Howe went missing far too often and I can only really remember a couple of games in which he played well for four quarters.
  14. Yep, it was definitely under Neeld. Howe was never going to be part of our future though. Doesn't fit the mould of a competitor IMO.
  15. He can do whatever he feels will help him kick more sausages in 2016.
  16. Rejoice! Mine arrived yesterday as well, without the scarf (not that I really care...I've got enough of them already), and with a colouring competition entry that expired last week. Devastated that I didn't get a chance to beat you guys in colouring in Jack Viney.
  17. I doubt it's a trick of the light...I'd say that he's been doing almost exclusively upper body work for the past two years. It's also good to note that his leg doesn't look too skinny despite him having been off it for so long.
  18. Hmmm...what should I ask for from Saty Claus for Christmas this year?
  19. Come on H_T, surely you've got to have even the smallest morsel of contempt for him. I'm absolutely thrilled with the fact that we've got Hogan, Tyson and Salem as a result of him leaving, but that doesn't mean that I don't still despise him.
