I hope the club has spoken to or is planing to speak with Liam Pickering about Clarkson, I think he would be good for the Dees. Like him or not Bailey is in big trouble average losing margin 51 points, Hawks, Cats ( Skilled Stadium ) and Blues coming up.

Malthouse, Roos, Thompson and Clarkson are all available would take anyone of them over Bailey.

Yeah sure Collingwood are years ahead of us in development and experience but they still had five players on Monday who had played less than 40 games and another 3 who had played less than 50 games. Over half the Collingwood team from Monday had played less than 80 games.

I was not making a point about their drafting just the fact they won a flag four years into their rebuilding under Clarkson. Yet we have people on Demonland who think our rebuilding is on target, yet we are on track for missing the finals five years in a row.

How about we look at the Hawks as well another team that has recently rebuilt. Clarkson took over in 2005 Ladder position 14 Wins 5 2006 Ladder position 11 Wins 9 2007 Ladder Position 5 Wins 13 2008 Ladder POsition 2 Wins 17 ( Plus the Flag ) Bailey took Over in 2008 Ladder Position 16 Wins 3 2009 Ladder Position 16 Wins 4 2010 Ladder Position 12 Wins 8 and 1 Draw 2011 Ladder Position 9 - 14 Wins 10 at best I would say by the end of the year we will be way behind where we should be. Yes injuries have smashed us of late but even before that we were playing crap footy and would have been a good chance to lose against North and the Saints.

I think Artie Bucco is Dean Bailey. Bailey must be some kind of supercoach, how did we win two and a half more games than Richmond last year. I mean with all their gun middle age players, what a joke. Dean Bailey and the club must be the best sales people in the world, still can not believe how many people are buying where a young list excuse. Even the club has stopped useing it since the pre season and so they should have. The average age of last years grand final winning side was 24.1, which is a young team and they won a flag. Clarkson and the Hawks won a flag in his fourth year as coach, lets all stop accepting mediocrity and demanding success. Dean Bailey is going to have to pull a rabbit out of a hat to be coaching the Dees in 2012 and beyond.

Yeah sure we are a young list but the team that played on the weekend is on average only one year younger than the pies team that one the flag last year. I for one can't see the team that played North on the weekend winning the flag next year. Our development or lack of is a massive concern and Bailey will lose his job as a result it's just a matter of when it happens.

Just like James Hird said he would not be coaching any time soon because he was too busy. Let's make him an offer he can't refuse.

Jim Stynes was on 3AW today I think Bailey is safe for at least a few more weeks. Their is a planned board meeting on Monday, Jim did not think Bailey's position would be brought up as it was way to early in the season.

Holy crap since 2000 Collingwood have only missed the finals four times and never more than two years in a row, the Swans have only missed the finals three times since 2000 and never two years in a row. We are on track for missing the finals five years in a row, I think as members we have every right to be angry and wanting change. Either Malthouse or Roos to coach the Demons in 2012 for mine.

Hawthorn finished 5th in Clarkson's 4th year and then won the flag in his 5th year as coach. On our form this year we will be lucky to finish out of the bottom 4.

I would say Barry would get at least $200k a year, probably a fair bit more.

That is one of the worst effort's I have ever seen by the Melbourne Football Club and sadly there is plenty too choose from. I hate being a member of a club that is a joke and we are and have been for a long time now. I like Dean Bailey but his time is up, it is just a matter of when it happens. I would like to see the club be proactive and make that this week, because enough is enough.

I am amazed how well the club has been able to sell the notion of time and patience. It is hard to believe that some members think it is ok if the club is only pushing for the top six in 2013, some six years after the rebuilding started. Hawthorn as an example won the flag in 2008 five years after the rebuilding started and finished 5th in their fourth year. Collingwood as another example had two bad years in 04 and 05 then finished 5th in 06, we as Melbourne Members are far to soft on the club so too the media. Enough is enough it is time for us to step up, we have an easy draw and more than enough talent to be playing finals this year and top six next year.

I am under the impression that the Melbourne Football Club have already spoken to Mick Malthouse's Management. Dean Bailey is under the pump big time, I will not be surprized if Bailey is the next Matt Knights.

Great post Jaded, we have been ordinary at best yet we still have 10 points from 4 matches that's not too bad at all for mine. God after listening to SEN today anybody would think we have to start rebuilding again ( Wayne Britten is an idiot ).

No matter how bad Garland's form is it is still way better than anything Macdonald can dish up.

I am not a big fan of Bartram's mostly because he turn's the ball over too much, but he has been very good this year and his spot is safe for mine.
