One of the points im referring to with Wellman isnt just how good our defence looked last year, but essendons distinct improvement in this area, our kick in are crap yes....
-
lol yes
-
Will be there with bells on, People all want the best for the club well turn up and put it thru the gates, the only way we will land a "BIG FISH" is if we turn a big profit this year, yes the debt is gone but that is alot due to demolition and donation.... if crowds drop so will MFC bottom line. The better the crowds for the rest of the year the better placed MFC will be in the future, regardless of coaches and results, we can drive the clubs off field position

Not sold on Ratten at all.... dont think he has done much with the scum since he took over, was under the pump until his list came good this year. Laidley and Wallace, like bailey dont seem to be the best senior coaches, although both had lack of funding in the FD which doesnt help, BOTH are supposedly a couple of the best football brains in the land only considering them as assistants or directors of coaching etc
-
Apparently i was on pre game in perth haha.... being the only dees supporter on the whole wing and being there an hour before the game also helps haha
-
many believe (outside Melbourne) that he has 9 brownlow votes in 4 games....not what i call lacking or shiite, but hey Also sylvia ranks eqaul third before the weekend with percentage of score involvements per club, equal with Ablett.... dont just look at the westcoast game Green and Davey need to lift big time
-
Yeah wouldnt be apposed to woey as an assistant, who ever is doing Brisbane's midfield atm is doing pretty well in my opinion, reddan, rockliff and banfield all low picks all red hot in my opinion....developing well
-
Bate just beat Deledio in the sunday footy show handball, thats does it how can he avoid selection this week...haha
-
Thanks RF, i was referring to James school as was a main point on another thread relating to his softness and ability to succeed coming from a privileged back ground, yes you probably have been following the club for two of my life times, well done...., but that does not mean you know any more than me or anybody else for that matter, get over yourself. Your opinion is valid, although i would like to give players more than 2 years to show they can make it, especially as James was showing good signs recently in the VFL. You are also right that both perspectives are needed, it is just sometimes not just you but many people seem to not give time to players, and right them off seemingly.

The main man is under the pump, He has one of the hardest jobs in AFL right now, right behind DB (thats another story), So brad yes he has been playing poorly,if you can even call it playing...but i will give him a bit more time than 5 games. He is our only Veteran and everybody wants him to lead from the front, as should be expected, but MFC is thin on leaders... what do we have 4 players older than 26? Brad is leading a few pushing [censored] up a hill right now, and cops it when 18/22 play like crap. Brad has some runs on the board, and people are very willing to forget what he has done as recently as last year for the MFC, was in the tram of 40 for the AA team missing the final cut. Top 5 in goal kicking or something Anyone who has written the man off please remember, THE CREAM ALWAYS RISES TO THE TOP Go brad, but please pull it out

Alot of people will agree with you, BUT Nicholson is rookie listed and not eligible to play until he is listed on the full list, which wont be until mid year. But yes on form Nicholson is most deserving of a game
-
Is this purely because he attended a "good school" i bet you know very little of james? or am i wrong? also will you ever comment in a positive way on topics i dont recall this?
-
exactly
-
Maybe this is something to note atm
-
Collingwood wernt anything special 3 years ago
-
midfield depth is low, when you throw in a scully and mckenzie we look a lot better, alot better they are two of the work horses we could use in the middle. No mckenzie and mcdonald is costing us 15 tackles a game atm not to mention scully's tackling output.... considering what we lack in spades is pressure.... yes nicholson ect would be nice, is strauss playing or was he on melbournes bench for thursday?
-
In my opinion Darling plays 3-4th tall in the eagles forward line, enter lynch and kennedy and often cox, where would he sit in ours? seemingly ahead of Watts? would get a more key defender than Jurrah, etc, i think thats why he has such an impact, do love the kid though will be a great player, plays as you love them to aswell
-
Maybe, but he was injured which made him slide, "Knee" and is currently on a long term injury list at carlton

Many people around these traps have been discussing the coaching situation at our club, and i agree, im not going to discuss Bailey their are plenty of places to do that. The biggest loss over the off season in my opinion was Sean Wellman, He had our backline pumping, and low and behold thedons look to be a great team after defense was their biggest weakness prior to Hird and his team. So here we go http://www.heraldsun.com.au/sport/afl/rivals-keen-to-lure-key-collingwood-assistant-coaches/story-e6frf9jf-1226045856189 Two options for the Demons next season, "Watters helped mastermind the Pies" also "Neeld would be a strong chance to replace John Worsfold at West Coast"...maybe not anymore Melbourne already being mentioned in the article, i believe is a positive sign Bring a high profile coach to our club and assistants, i think we lack depth in our coaching department
-
Why do all our players need to "stick" to opposition players? Maybe Morton is one of those players that does this and will drag an opposition player out, you cant allow anybody to kick "three easy goals" no matter what team your name is It has also been mentioned by many people that Morton seems to be a smart player, and KNOWS when he can draft forward, and you may also find the he does this with hard running
-
Yeah i think that we all understand what this exercise entails, i think that it is great that the board ect are finally starting to use many of their industry contacts to the clubs advantage, and flaunting it also, is a good look for the club.
-
On theory that i have heard is that by taking the "easy" game off Watts it could be seen as a message that he is goign to have to lift his game and work HARDER for his spot and if he wants to fill his potential. Yeah he can play well against the suns for a week or he can hit the track hard and do it week in week out He may not even be the sub next week, type thing

It isnt just the day that makes the blockbuster it is rivalries, and one's which have stood the test of time.Sheedy did well to do it but i cant think of many manufactured rivalries or "Blockbusters" Would love for us to get a little bit cocky maybe some time soon with the Queens Birthday match, and call out Collingwood in a way, not that we are arrogant but to really push the bounderies with the crowd we can attract, give our supporters not just the die hard ones reason to turn up and have 80k at the G, wow
