Grimes finds the footy, takes some nice grabs and doesnt give up. These are all traits i find endearing, so thats why he's one of my favourites. Plus i've had the pleasure of meeting him on a couple of occsions and he's a ripping bloke! As for people having a dig at Trengove, plenty of players plateu after a few years in the system. Rich had a coupel of down seasons after his rising star year but its obvious he is quality and is playign well again.

Maybe. but even still, Spencer did his knee last year, was picked due to a glut of injuries, not based on form. Dont hate the player for havign a crack becasue he was the only fit ruckmen left to choose fom.. I dont see a "never pick James Strauss ever again" thread - he cant make an impact at casey. yes he broke his leg, but Spencer's knee was similarly serious. Anyway, a month ago the harsh thread titles were directed at Sylvia. After the last two games there i dont see the 'leave this club colin syliva' threads anymore. I dont think there should ever be a thread started purley to pay out on one of our players, form comes and goes, and as frustrating as they may be, i think all of our players try their best.

FWIW i wouldnt read a pinned thread aboout the rules of the F/S process anyway!

righto, thanks for going easy on me. its that part which i wasnt aware of

can we not commit to JV, but then trade picks 3 & 4 (for Boak and say Ben Reid) which would leave us with pick ~12 to take viney as a no brainer
-
I'll sit on the fence for this one. If someone feels that making a "X-player should never be picked again thread" is a good idea, well i dont agree,. It is overly negative and is not a topic that will generate decent discussion. In this instance i dont have a problem with the dumb thread posts etc. On the other hand, if there is a genuine discussion taking place and someone has a differing veiw to the 'norm' (read faux moderators) then i do feel that the usual suspects are pretty quick to jump in, state their opinion as gospel and smother the differing opinion. At the end of the day though, if you dont like it, leave!

If there are some good deals to be done then i say Get rid of the top picks so there is no viney dilemma

That's what we said when neeld got the job....

One of rivers or garland needs to go back to the back line, frawley can't do it alone. Bring one of cook, Fitzpatrick, or Williams in to play up forward with garland or rivers. Old dees mate bennell to come in to play on nahas Other than that, continue to shuffle the deck chairs and hope jamar and jones are fit

Its sad that the draft is basically governed by who played well at the carnival. -

maybe, but not in my eyes. Passing on Viney after basically signing him up last year would be poor form -

Bail has been training for the entire time he has been left out with the side effects of concussion. I find it somewhat contradictory that they wouldnt play him as he couldnt pass the concussion test, yet on the other hand would let him participate in full training?!

Old dee is allright mate, never any malice in his posts, just loves to take the bait whenever #7 is mentioned. In fact, If you ever get bored on demonland you can go 'fishing' for old dee. He's a easy to 'catch', goes for a lot of different baits; JB, #7, Bennell, Jamie, old #43, Carey Park Panthers, Jetta's mate, outs for this week, only couple of touches, possible delists etc etc
-
Jetta and gysberts back playing footy, you beauty! Williams has come a long way, from where he has come from and his illness earlier this season to be playing vfl is a good effort
-
His brother Graham is a handy defender. Probably missed the boat for drafting though
-
Hey old dee, JB might be back!! Spencer in a strange one. Perhaps the russian is sore?

I think Nev will play a few games at Casey, regain his match fitness and then come into the 1sts. He is hard at it and offers us something different in the midfield mix. I'm not sure if its quite make or break time for him yet as he is still young - dont think either of Bennell or Jetta will be cut from our list at the end of the year. Speaking of Jettas, it took ages for Leroy to come good. On the other hand Lewis was always a freak. Was playing WAFL 1sts at a young age was the black and white's version of Cyril Rioli.

Mitch Clark ready to go a the start of preseason Liam Jurrah fit and charges against him thrown out Pick up a good player from another club (think Boak, Wellingham, Goldsack etc) Honour our commitment to Jack Viney and take him with pick 3 if requried

i'd prefer not to remember 'the last time they met'.... It was a rude awakening....changing a coach wasnt going to change our on field fortunes in the short term

So Richo played for another 8 seasons after a similar injury? I'll take that!
