It seems like the FD like Matt Jones, and think he can offer a bit over 2 years +. Seeing that Magner and couch are on the rookie list already, its unlikley that they would have wanted any more 'ready to go' types on the rookie list. You dont want to plan or rely on for 3-4 long term injuries to be able to play your rookies! remaining rookie spots will be reserved for project / young types IMO

The whole 'Wines vrs O'Rouke' was inside vrs out, or mature body vrs lighter build. Toumpas is pretty much a complete package, the best of both worlds..... not too skinny to play against men, quick enough to play outside, kicks goals, great leadership qualities, the list goes on.

Will be a key member of the 22 in 2013 playing on the half back line. He's still young and we'd be silly to try and force him to be a pack crushing power forward when he is more comfortable using his agility and skills to create the play from half back. Not to mention Clark, Dawes and in 2014 Hogan!

Agreed, his time per km would be ok for an elite athelete if he was running a half marathon, not 2km!
