  1. Wonderful team player. Tough ,focused and a Goodwin contested footy beast.
  2. Tom Green pick 10 in that seriously good 2019 draft. Giants are handy
  3. We all look at things differently l suppose, but some people who were around at the time, suggested that the 1939/40/41 run may have been extended if not for the Second World War where we were well represented. All in the eye of the beholder.
  4. If North get a priority pick, what do we get?
  5. Not sure l agree on rest for anyone. (Yes l know I’m a hard a..e) There is a weeks rest after the last home and away game and we are still in the hunt for 2nd Spot. Dont think I’d be leaving the door ajar to anyone to knock us off.
  6. Probably right . We already have Pickett who is very high quality and can terrorise the opposition. Watson good player no doubt but do we have more pressing needs elsewhere. I kind of like the idea of Dursma on one flank and Petracca and Picket up there as well.
  7. Tomlinson held us together at times and was pretty calm under fire. I thought he was in our best six. May did not play with his normal purpose and steely focus ,same with Lever, although the latter improved a bit in the second half. Good on Adam yesterday l would be sorry if he goes. When called to step us he usually does the job.
  8. On the ‘G’ on a nice warm dry September day l reckon he could be rather useful up forward.
  9. Looks like it at the moment and is Petracca likely to cost himself AA sélection with his inability to finish? He’s certainly causing us supporters a bit of pain at the moment. Terrific player but if he kicks better we are a couple of spots higher on the ladder.
  10. Out - ANB, Fritta, Chandler , BB, Smith, Harmes In Oliver, JVR, JJ, Tomlinson, Woey, Laurie
  11. Top heavy in the conditions. Strange team selection. Not enough skill in the forward half. (The big one , needs honest discussion and rearrangement.
  12. Very nice size and amongst Allies best against WA. A lot of talent in that Allies side it would seem. Tassie boys and Qld academy boys for starters. ‘Young Connor might have appeal.
  13. Agree. They had Rohan, we had a forward line that underperformed, we’re not dangerous and most of them gave us nothing on the scoreboard.
  14. He’s a genuine midfield forward and we are deficient in both areas at the moment.
  15. So what we have in the way of key forwards are BB and JMac who are not playing , injury prone and contracted for another year. Why? Think we might have got that wrong. Smith who is not very good and Jefferson shaping as a bust. Leaves us with pretty much only JVR , good potential , Petty and Fritta to go with. Hope these long term contracts don’t haunt us. Think we have to turn over a few rocks, or shake something loose with our draft picks to sort this out.
  16. Was well held. No goals, not in best players, dudnt get a lot of it, underwhelming. Not really a good performance, but it’s only one game l suppose. The Adelaide clubs with the first crack at their kids should be reasonably happy.
  17. What were the moves to counter the very dislikable Stewart and Rohan? Their direct opponents should play at Casey next week. Nothing exciting re our small forward set up last night.
  18. Suspect a couple of clubs interested
  19. JVR is our junior big key forward with 1/2 fox games , so who is our senior big key forward scaring the life out of opposition backs? Current set up is terrible. Dreaming about Tommy Mac and Ben Brown coming good is high risk.
  20. Please explain football dept.
  21. Who knows, but you have to raise the flag. We missed Sparrow in this regard and at the contest.
  22. All clubs lose good players. Challenge is to see if we are a good footy club or not.
  23. We don’t have a Rozee or Horne Francis type. Whoever was on Butters to the seconds please. 41 possessions? What were the coaches doing?
  24. A little danger feeling on this. We should have a decent win on ladder positions, but they were very physical and served it up to us at Metricon last year.
  25. Seems we now have our nice open ended fluffy precedent that should make things clearer for everybody. That’s until it involves a power club, untouchable player or it’s during the finals or some other flimsy yet to be introduced defence. We have taken it on the chin, so our predicament is over. So we can sit back and watch the predictable one week low profile penalties for certain entities and individuals and heavy handed AFL chest beating ‘message senders’ to be absolutely frightened by. No matter that the perpetrators of two unconscious players with concussion got one week. One of the perpetrators with a rap sheet as long as your arm who the media are ship frightened to dal with properly. What a farce.
