George Grey and Corey Ellison former Casey listed players are both short listed for the Fothergill Round Mitchell medal this season, and according to the 'pundits' may be considered as candidates for AFL recruitment. So the cupboard might not as bare as Old Mother Hubbard makes out. Second placed Roan Steel played mainly in defence this year, but has the all ground game that may appeal to AFL list decision makers. Collingwood seem to pluck out later bloomers from obscurity with aplomb why not MFC?

Haddock under the influence, having a dummy keyboard spit imbues a number of the less temperate here on ER.

By allocating F the writer is clearly clueless about assessment. Assuming the range of grades available is from A to F. F is a grade given when a candidate has enrolled but has near never attended, attempted any meaningful coursework or participated in any assessment task. Assessors usually withdraw the candidate is such circumstances. The team attended all matches as per the season fixture. Participated by selecting and fielding a team for each required round. Successfully passed eleven out twenty-three examinations. Out of the remaining twelve tasks four were losses by less than a goal. Successful assessment should be clearly enunciated. Be rigorous but fair and importantly have integrity. Not plucked out one’s [censored]. Despite being able to reasonably articulate his case study, Dylan made an absolute bloch of assessing the Season grade for the Demons and will need to repeat next year. After re-consideration by the MRO, Tribunal and Grievances Oversight. D+

Kobe Wagyu? Is that one of JT’s smokies? Could be a trifle overdone.

QD Is that question ironical? Or is it implying the team performance folded like a cheap suit?

And I thought there were better tailors down there in Warrnambool. Must have all gone since the demise of Fletcher Jones.

Why all the angst about the weather? Thought we’d be favoured by the conditions. After all we were a wet weather revelation after downing the bombers earlier in the season. People still hunt Magpie Geese up here in these woods. So w’ere OK with open season at the ‘G tonight. Mr Ed might still ponder if the ‘all duck and no dinner’ appellation still applies. Well as long as we’re not their bunnies. Go Demons!

Out of country, listened on the radio have nothing but praise for a great team performance. On to the ‘G to put the Colliwobblers to the torch.

Talent gulf between Suns and Casey appears huge. Yet prior to the North paupers being bestowed the AFL’s bounteous largesse this mob were regularly crying poor. Cargo Cult is alive and well, plus they also bend bananas.

Ben Brown a credible performance but Matthew Jefferson virtually unsighted difficult to visualise a 2024 debut now. Roy George had a go with a little bit of X factor hidden under his bushel. AMW’s confidence has grown with senior experience this season. Endurance, speed, combative in the clinches and shows a penchant for breaking the lines. Another preseason set to take on the big league.

DZ you can ‘rage’ against the machine operators. But the acronym AFL and phrase chance of reform are mutually exclusive. The Juggernaut will simply voraciously pillage on shredding $$$$$$ from those that can least afford it and redistribute wealth to Rupert and his ilk. Time for a long holiday l know. (Coming soon folks). The trolls, whiteant eaters and flat earth sect seem to have rested control of the Tardis from the more rationale and sane. But God grant us the grace at the ‘G season finale of the Demons ‘maiming’ Maynard and Company. Let the reigns loose Goody!

Performance wise I thought he was more 'engaged' in the game last week and able to get to more contests for the ball. Which was most noticeable during the first quarter, before the dogs closed out the game. It appeared he was given a go as ruck in the forward half on some occasions. An astute move by the coach, not unlike playing Matthew Jefferson in defence earlier in the season for a few games. Gets the young blokes where the ball is more likely to be. On Luker's skills, he can position himself and mark the ball OK, but his kicking has let him down particularly from a distance. Something he and the coaches would be working on one would think.

Perhaps Dostoevsky’s ‘Crime and Punishment’ should be on the reading list too. A barrel of laughs apparently. Keeping on topic Dostoevsky also wrote ‘Demons’ another ripper novel.

Pickett you and Goody are now on the same page. Straight from the horse’s mouth at today’s presser. He’s getting closer and closer all the time. We’re rapt with JEFFO… Whether that’s a game this week or in the coming weeks, we’ll wait and see.”
