  1. Tiny Tim sans ukelele warbling "Tip Toe thru the Tulips" For those still believing Riak Andrew will somehow propitiously fall into our laps. https://berwicknews.starcommunity.com.au/sport/2024-11-17/berwicks-riak-andrew-on-the-map/ Thanks Left Foot Snap
  2. Andy Moniz-Wakefield is not getting a gig with the MCC Wind Ensemble anytime soon (Koltyn showed promise though). But come Week One of pre-season, that’s the third positive review l’ve read of AMW on the track this week. That block of games he played after his debut has given him self-belief and confidence. If Trent and Judd are destined upfield, there’s a slot for the taking at half-back for a talented young bloke with his credentials.
  3. Club recruiters would be well aware of him given his brother’s ascendancy at the Suns. Appears to have rebounded solidly from the previous season’s adversity. Fingers crossed but not holding my breath on draft night 2.
  4. Wouldn’t be relying on a late pick or rookie spot for this kid. Eureka if it somehow transpires otherwise fool’s gold. Young Ooze looks a solid prospect but keep it hush.
  5. Understand Jack and Tom returning early to pre-season training, gets them out of the house. Harry and Kade anythings better than Adelaide. Christian and Bayley hope springs eternal especially after last season.
  6. Steven May is a former co-captain at the Suns of course. Jake Lever has that uncertain je ne sais quoi quality about him. Must be the iconic moustache. No problems channeling Captain Peacock or was it Group Captain Lionel Mandrake from Stanley Kubrick's darkly prophetic movie? Keep it hisute, Max the Beard to be succeeded by Captain Rick.
  7. Never fear HT, a pre-season with Steve Moneghetti will get those skin fold numbers right down.
  8. Double take 5 - Armstrong Loves blowing his own trumpet, does a half decent moonwalk and wants to win at any cost. 9 - Xavier Lindsay Has a great Australian novel in him or as a fallback can paint nudes. 83 - Slim Would be a great addition, immediately enhances club culture. Get him in. “ I love to have a beer with Duncan We drink in moderation We never ever ever get rollin’ drunk…”
  9. 5 Harry Armstrong - DL meltdown will trump the second coming. Picket to lead the the insurrection. 9 Xavier Lindsay - no idea really won the Morrish medal. 83 Slim Dusty
  10. Change of hair ‘stylist’ 💈 will help.
  11. Thought we gave up all the loose change to move to the premium seats. Would be astounded if 9th would be down grounded. Defies logic. Wednesday fortnight can’t be too far away… …relief is in sight isn’t it?
  12. It’s a toss up between Helter Skelter and Ken Kesey. But suspect Kesey would rather eat his hat.
  13. It’s decidedly warm up here… Harry Armstrong l’ve got it now…
  14. With apologies to Stanley Kubrick for the added poetic licence.
  15. High flyer who can take a big pack mark? “ But the AFL world all stopped to watch on a King’s Birthday afternoon. Watched a man named Armstrong walk on the ‘G.” Meanwhile a fluctuating, weakly static, barely decipherable, signal was picked up from the dark side at Olympic Park. It was decoded as; “Houston we have a problem…”
  16. With the twilight approaching for a number of listed mature players. Briefly glimpsing JT’s crystal ball afar, suggests the priority will be draftees that will make an impact in the next couple of seasons. The pattern has been set with Windsor and Tholstrup, both getting continuity of games in their first season. Both having physiques that provided sufficient resilience, endurance and strength to make an immediate impact off field in the gym, at training and on field at senior level. Plus the potential for positively developing quickly at subsequent pre-seasons early in their careers. On presence alone candidates at the top end of the draft who have these desirable traits would logically be prioritized by the recruitment team. If the core of experienced veterans remain healthy. The spark of developing younger players added too by some canny recruitment. Could re-ignite some real demon passion and a return to the top tier next year.
  17. Yes Roan Steele off to the West Perth Falcons in the WAFL. Club webpage describes itself as a "professional Australian Rules club". Couple of MFC connections; team song is 'A Grand Old Flag' and their home ground is at Joondalup where the Demons were based in September 2021. Add those attributes to Roan's innate footy abilities suggests this is a step up for Roan. Good luck Roan!
  18. AFL surely will act to remove players’ age data. Weight or more accurately mass went the way of the Dodo, AFLW saw to that. Next will be height as the little people complained. All that will be left will be the guernsey numbers. However the AFL numerologists sub- committee spat the dummy. Numbers will be removed because it distracted from advertisers’ logos and was too complicated.
  19. Yes and they’re confident about drafting ‘a terrific player too’.
