Footscray v Casey Scorpions - Round 2, 2015
Dee-licious replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Quarter Time: 19 point margin to the Bulldogs and considering how bad we've played we are lucky to be in the game. 3.4.22 to 0.3.3 From the radio I cant really say who has been the best because those who have had it have had terrible disposal. From the commentators: 50/50 ruck duel, Free kicks the way of the Dogs -
Footscray v Casey Scorpions - Round 2, 2015

3.2.20 to 0.3.3 - Not going well so far by the sounds of it. Love someone at the ground to tell me but it sounds as if Spencer and Gawn have the upper hand of Minson. Hearing Toumpas a lot - Stretch was amongst it early. But the dogs seem to have the ball a lot. -

Redpath goals to take the bullies lead to 2 goals. Jordan Kelly getting plenty of it for the Dogs. Wind is 3-4 goal wind. -

Kicking against a strong breeze its tough going for Casey with the Dogs having all the momentum and lead by one goal. Grimes running through the middle so far today. -

GAME DAY - Anzac Eve Game vs Tigers
Dee-licious replied to Lucifers Hero's topic in Melbourne Demons
RICHMOND is unsure when vice-captain Brett Deledio will be available to return from a persistent calf problem, with the All Australian unlikely to face Melbourne on Friday night. Deledio was ruled out of last week's clash against the Brisbane Lions as he battled calf soreness, which resurfaced after he played in round one after an interrupted pre-season. He was suspended for the Tigers' round two clash against the Western Bulldogs but would have missed that match in any case through injury. Coach Damien Hardwick was hopeful last week the important veteran would be ready for Friday night's clash against the Demons, but he is now unlikely to return. -
I'm liking the settled team and the votes are showing that everyone is putting their hand up. Only Dawes, JKH, Kent, Toump, Frost and Howe don't have votes this year.

Casey Scorpions v Frankston - Round 1, 2015
Dee-licious replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
It hasn't look like that's been his role. His role seems to be drive from half back and he gave that in the 1st and 3rd quarters. I don't think he should be elevated over Michie and Toump today but I'd hardly call it lacklustre -
Casey Scorpions v Frankston - Round 1, 2015

Stretch and Toump just seem to run all day - understand the structures (they are always in the same position at every stoppage) and use the ball well. Gawn and Spence look too good to vfl. As does Grimes. -
Casey Scorpions v Frankston - Round 1, 2015

We can confidently say those boys don't understand much about football or know what the players bring to the table so let's not worry about those. Michie, Toump, looked good so far -

Who is Tom McDonald. For $200 who currently sits 13th for tackles?
-
Are we one too tall with Frost? Once he went off we didnt feel too small. Although I would like some support for Jamar I just think we are one too tall. Saying that I dont think we drop anyone unless we have too (injury or suspension). Some bad individual moments but not enough to really demand someone being dropped. What an odd feeling.

6 - Vince - great game on Danger (and others) really hard at it 5 - Tommy Mac - held Walker to the most influence-less 3 goal game I've seen 4 - Harry - some great running to keep us in it 3 - Jones - great in and under when he was targeted 2 - Tyson - working really hard as the game continued 1 - Hogan - we'd be screwed without him Special mention to Garlett. I couldnt give you votes with 2.4 - sorry buddy
-
SEN top 5 - Sloane, Thomson, Harry, Jones, Howe (+ McD) Bottom 5 - Dawes, Dunn, Walker, Jacobs, Danger

I'd like Toump and Grimes to do it again at Casey. Just really feel comfortable dominating consecutive games. I'd love to see them back performing for the red and the blue. I think its a case of brining the same boys to Adelaide as the ones I would drop on todays performance are usually our best performed. No point in dropping Kent, he has speed and we miss that. We showed today how much we miss that. Stretch has speed but hes not ready (16 touches) and I'm not confident in Matt Jones. So my answer is no changes.

My only issue with selection this week is who do you drop? Jones, Howe, Garlett, Tyson didnt give us anything but were not going to drop them. Kent had a good first quarter and his run was important. Dawes is good for the forward structure. Frost is our second ruck. I don't know - last week it seemed obvious that two of Toump, JKH and Kent were being dropped. I dont think it is so clear this week.

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - ROUND 2, 2015
Dee-licious replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Like a band-aid - just get it done and forget 6 - T. McDonald - he was huge to begin with and he kept working all game. 8 marks. 5 - J. Viney - 11 tackles. Still under 50 games. 4 - C. Salem - still makes me happy we made the trade 3 - J. Hogan - Swagger in the first half and love he lets the guys know about the delivery. 2 - A. Brayshaw - only Jamar (6) and Vanders (4) had more clearances that he did (3). Let that stat sink in....... 1 - D. Cross - tried all day and still one of our best -
How good are Shiel, Coniglio, Green
-
The world hates us.
-
Hopefully that is our down quarter and now we lift. Jones and Newton have many more gears left in them today. Same with Tyson. Viney having a really great game. 3rd year break out?
-
Agree. One more goal and they have outscored us this quarter.
