Your off to China? Wow, that is dedication. Are you involved more than I would know? Excited that it is October 13 and the Dees play in a few days, disappointed I want here or see any of it for 24 hours?

Is there a ready made Hale type out there..in other comps?
Red Sox replied to beelzebub's topic in Melbourne Demons
If you could pick a short coming in our current group, what would it be? For mine, it would be some assistance to Jamar and also a big, get out of my way unit up front. That being said, if Jurrah continues to stand on everyone's shoulders, well we are just recruiting step ladders for the superstar B) -
Just for the record, I was comparing some of the gripes from posters amongst other forums. Not you specifically. Looking after the Dees back yard I guess. As I said, bit harsh some of the words considering much of the hard work put in by many on the Dees side and I would hate for one individual on the field or further individuals amongst a forum to wreck these days moving forward. Your last line sums it up well.

So going by that Lynch might be like Kosi? I'll take Darling then.....goes alright that Pavlich!
-
How on earth would you know that?

Mate, sucks to be in your position, no doubt. But what do you want? No one can control every single over zealous idiot that wants to be a hero, which seems to be the case here. That is the chance every single person takes when they play sport, especially so when playing a contact sport such as football. I understand your angst against this individual, but to see the gripes being written up on other forums is way over the top. All that is doing is applying the same over the top attitude that your are now complaining about, except via the written word rather than physically on a footy field.

Todd Viney said, “I’m really ecstatic to be returning to the Club at such an exciting time. Jim, the board, and everybody at the Club have done an amazing job in revitalising it over the last couple of years. I look forward to assisting the Club to move forward in its quest to deliver the Melbourne members, supporters and past players a thirteenth premiership, and to consistently challenge for AFL premierships over a sustained period of time”. I love that he adds the past players in there. Just emphasises his passion for the club & his want to see an elusive flag is as great as anyone of us. His coaching credentials are well recognised & he is just a freaking MFC LEGEND!! Welcome home Todd.

Jobe is a fine player and should have been in the Top 50 for 2010, needs some jets around him though in a big way. I think some people totally miss the point that it is based on the year only and argue incorrectly as a result. I think Mike sometimes forgets his own rule and has players higher than their actual season should allow them to be, IMO. I think he also, especially of late, puts this huge rating to grand final performances and goes too far and this is why Daisy is so high. He had a great season Thomas, a lot better than I have previously given credit for.

And what evidence do you want? Do you not watch the games? Can you not see that Nath (as big a heart as he has) had some issues this year, as he has had at times? Do you not think when he was dropped after playing every game he wasn't thinking WTF? His first mention of 'taking time to sign' in his blog is an indicator. Don't think this was in regard to his next dog purchase. I love his passion but I have my doubts on his ability. Hope I am very wrong.

Not sure it will be Voss mkII as not sure Hird will even coach Pulling assistants from everywhere - the saying too many chiefs and not enough indians is ringing here. No wonder they bought Danny Corcoran back, he will need to work his magic in the book keeping to continue to pay for all of this.

Yep, keep telling yourself that you love Ross and his tactics. Any sane, football loving person can see what a stinker of a side you are to watch. You have bored the rest of the comp into submission for 3 years. Saints Footy = [censored] Footy. Next you'll want to play forum games in Seaford
-
Agree with that approach jc. Could be that the club has a fair indication as to what/who may be available around 49 & 52 and were prepared to let Cheney go on that basis. Sadly to bl00dy Hawthorn
-
Nice to be around the year the ball bounced the wrong way for you cellar dwellers. To be fair, been around to see probably your best two chances at a flag and you still blew it. Make that three chances in two years Sad that your entire history can be told by two bounces of a ball in over 100 years.
-
Few and far between? Trust that you have only taken interest in the Clokes average body art! Tacky in your opinion. No more or less acceptable if you play the game, you discuss the game, right? I take it you have never divulged your MFC passion into anything other than donations or memberships then?

Love to get this guy but would he offer enough respite for Jamar in the ruck? I realise it would be his main position but I can't remember him doing much in the way of ruck work.

I'm certainly not one to hypothesise on what decisions the FD and the like make. One thing I will say, from the outside looking in that regardless of not getting Judd, Ball, Hale, whoever over the line, it seems we have always stood firm on what we offer. Maybe with Judd and a small degree Ball we just didn't have enough to offer, but still, if everything is to be believed, we were into Hale from the middle of the year. The fact that we stood firm and didn't throw everything at him or change tack, well done to Tim and others involved. This will hopefully hold us in good stead in the future as players WANT to come to our club. Other clubs will already know that we don't bend easily.

And try getting through all the crap and decipher what the hell Hale is doing - by the time you get through the moral police getting in as a group against dee-luded etc etc etc, it will be trade period 2020.
-
Ideally, everyone would be nice, from a difficult question I'd go with: Frawley Sylvia Jamar Davey Grimes Jurrah

Tim Harrington is on Trade Week Radio at 3.30pm

Had to go up and down on the volume! -
Nice to hear a flat out no to the swap of 1st round picks.

Assistant Coach Replacement for Sean Wellman
Red Sox replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
That would be great. That is a great point. -
I'd give away Bate & Maric for Brennan. We go from pick 12 to 15 and stay similar with the Maric trade in the 2nd round. I like that, GC sure wont. In any case, Bate still has a place in our side. He did have a bad year, but there are reasons. If he is any good he would be thinking that he could get his place back over a Dunn, Jetta even a Petterd.
-
Not sure I am rapt about the 1st round going on Hale? Mitch Clark - I'd throw both at him, but I'm nervous about Hale at that price.
-
Doggies seem to be involved a bit. Good F/S picks, add in Sherman who will need to improve his consistency and they are on their way again. They have some nice youngsters, Grant, Cordy, Higgins and the trio above will help further. If they do things right, the dogs wont have to bottom out much and may actually be able to re-load for another shot.

Football is an industry made on lies. I'm not sure what people are surprised about. It's when it becomes really under handed that I get frustrated, Wellman being poached for example. On my way into work I listen to SEN a bit, a bit less recently as Tim Watson is grating on me. This morning he gave reasoning on why it would be ok if Thompson ends up at Essendon. Watson has a vested interest for a few obvious reasons. A very close mate of Hird who Hird has sought advice from in seeking assistant coaches. This is all a done deal and I will be surprised if Thompson is not at Essendon by January.
