I agree. Locking in the top 6 that early would seriously disadvantage some teams who may have had a poor start to the season., As I recall in 2000 we came home with a great late run and may have been even as low as 7 after round 17. Ended up, what, 3 or 4 entering the finals. And sometimes in an even season a team lying 13 at round 17 could make a late run for the finals. What incentive would there be in this scenario?

Helmut Kohl the German Chancellor? Didn't know he was into personal protection. -
Of course it was not considered The tribunal was set up to not consider it Whilst it would definitely be in the interests of "the integrity of the game" (OMG I have always laughed whenever Vlad used that term, and all the more so now) to have it determined, but it was not in the interests of EFC nor of the powers at the AFL, so it wasn't considered.

Does anyone here, or does anyone anywhere, actually know how long any physical benefits that may be obtained from TB4 persist? And it really pisses me off when people talk of 'retrospective and retroactive penalties and suspensions'.....like are they suggesting that a suspension has already been served even though they were playing possibly under the influence of performing enhancing substances? Are they serious?? Does anyone have any info re the current status of any WorkCare investigation into the club's failure to provide a safe and secure workplace? Perhaps they are holding there fire and ire until after CAS / WADA have had their way, though the issues are actually different.

If only the lazy bastards upfield would run and create options, and space, then he wouldn't look anywhere like the deer in the headlights that he used to appear. He looks so much better this season, and did so even more when the likes of Kent, Frost, and (the early season) Newton were options. Hogan can't do all the heavy and the running work up forward. He needs support, and space.

Daniel Bell says hi too - or thinks he may have -
Signed! Christian Petracca extends contract until end of 2018.

I guess it is possible that another club's interest in him could have precipitated the signing. -
In fact they could be closed down, and their recent records expunged And, while in the mood, Carkton could be merged with GWS and expelled from our state. A good way to reduce the biomass to 16 clubs :-)

A League are already becoming increasingly popular: I wonder if the AFL wall has started to crack already? This two year charade, instigated by Vlad and perpetuated by Gil has had a devastating effect on what Vlad used to love referring to as "the integrity of th game"! I know that I used to love watching Friday night football but will not tomorrow. I just cannot look at those unmitigated cheats strutting the field, especially with the shots of the smug number in the coaching box. Will watch some replays of recent games between fairly competing teams on my laptop.

....but wasn't smart enough to advise Jimmy to make a back up of everything that was handed over? I know she may not be the sharpest tool in the shed, but seriously could anyone be that stupid?
-
Quite right. All to often over the years we have read on these pages that so-and-so is out so we are in with a big chance. We just need to learn to beat whoever the opposition put out for us to play, be it the full team of a wounded one. And as you say the Hawks will be absolutely livid and reeling. The stand ins will be out to cement their places. It is a huge challenge for our team. Go Demons.

Does this delusional psychopath really expect anyone to believe that he would hand over the only copies of documents that could be used to clear his name? Really? How naïve does he think we are? He has numerous lawyers, and one at home. And "oh, I gave the only copy to ASADA who then destroyed it so they can get at me"! Paranoid delusions. And, anyway, just because a spreadsheet may have Thymomodulin, or Thymosin, or Vitamin C isn't evidence. Would anyone be stupid enough to put "Growth Hormone" on a spreadsheet if one was using it?

As you can see from my selfie, I see as much from my left eye as the average umpire throughout a match, and more than the AFL choose to do in this case, and in all drug related matters.

Has anyone ever sighted, or cited, the said consent forms? Surely this could be seen as somewhat important in any act of human experimentation.
-
..or they do, and like in so many other issues, turn a blind eye lest it 'hurt their brand'!

JBP also said never set up an enquiry without knowing the outcome first. (Brought him down in the end but served him well for a long time.) The AFL set up their tribunal with the end result planned. Not so now that they are facing CAS and WADA.

Whatley is and always has been my very favorite sports commentator and caller. A class act who knows his stuff and says what he means. Well done.

Footy clubs keep records of everything regarding every player. Weight, height, what they eat, when they pee, what they pee, running, jumping.....yet when doing an illegal unconscionable human experiment ...."I know nothing"! Absolutely incredible. Absolutely reprehensible Absolutely illegal..

He epitomizes how hard work, focus and dedication get rewarded. (Hi, Colin. How are things in the west?)

OMG - I haven't been able to see 360 but this is a new level of delusion surely. Pot calling kettle black re destroying evidence. Shredding evidence didn't help Phillip Morris nor should it help EssUndone.

He was respected as a player, though does anyone maybe have some doubts now?? What was around then? What was tested then?

Interesting to browse the Declaration of Helsinki which govern human experimentation Parts of the summary include Research should be based on a thorough knowledge of the scientific background (Article 11), a careful assessment of risks and benefits (Articles 16, 17), have a reasonable likelihood of benefit to the population studied (Article 19) and be conducted by suitably trained investigators (Article 15) using approved protocols, subject to independent ethical review and oversight by a properly convened committee (Article 13) Where are the records???????
