Was not able to watch, listen or attend. I followed the scores from time to time. Is there truth in the rum our that several, players were ailing? I don't care who it is, if it was just the captain then he shouldn't have played for several, reasons: the team and his own health being paramount. If it was too many to rest than it could explain, in part, the drop off and the poor start - and the poor output from some of our recent better performers

Let someone else replace Haddin. We need him at MFC

Roos must have marked Mr Tunnelball's card. The blindingly obvious choice for this game.
-
Haven't been able to follow, but will this game be lost due to - non selection of Fitz - another pathetic start???

Ever so briefly Brisbane looked in grave danger of maybe winning: I am looking forward to the impartial integrity folk at AFL HQ starting the tanking enquiry. After all, their coach actually stated it publicly, not just some jovial assistant making an aside to a colleague.

Jack's back (Trengove, that is)

I think you need to be kind and patient. I think he/she/it is from Tasmania. -
Dogs looking pretty scary - it will be interesting however to see how they match up under finals pressure. Now officially my second favourite team. Of course not being superstitious, but on history IF they win the flag Melbourne will of course win 5 of the next 6.

^^ How about 1 Melbourne 16 Collingwood 17 Hawthorn DQ Essendon

Shoulder or hamstring? If OW gets a good result from his shoulder reco is he still 'injury prone'? Jack Viney may give him a 'welcome back' like he did to Ablett, and that has gone so well for GA who could now be regarded as 'injury prone'. Salem has a bad hammie from which most recover well - does that make him 'injury prone'?

Bruce still practically orgasmic whenever he says the name Rance, despite him being beaten by Walker.

Which game, or quarter, was that?

[Pedersen]??

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA

I seem to remember hearing that he has had some formal role at the club, possibly in opposition analysis. Whatever, he hasn't been slacking. -

Most would be very happy that he can run at all, though recognizing that he has a lot of work ahead of him. Few will see it as nothing positive at all. -

I gasped when I saw this -- then saw the date and breathed again. SFKA -- and is it now a win win win win?? I sincerely hope that you mean what Col could / should have been and not what he turned out to be. I cringed once more. Saw him at training and thought of Col!!!!!! O M G !! -
Judd's grandma's neighbor's dog walker's niece's shrink maybe? I clearly remember that the very same source was 100% certain that that photographer guy who is now at Geelong was going to Freo a few years ago.

I thought the ban was related to trading players in too. Surely even as corrupt and reactionary a body as the AFL could not get away with a situation / ruling that prevented an uncontracted player from leaving.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
monoccular replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
I must admit to not having followed Garlett much last season when he was dumped to VFL. Would the same description have been made of him by some? Did they both suffer from similar issues of lack of motivation in a struggling poorly run club? Was the situation similar to that of Yarran this year or is it a totally different situation? Would Roos et al be able to resurrect his career as they have with Garlett (and Dunn, Jetta)? -

Of course, but I think that most posters here today just want to enjoy the positives. -
Hopefully he has more scruples than that Geelong listed player. But seriously I am sure if he does want out, Roos who knows him all too well will evaluate his potential value and cost, and make a rational decision on whether he is needed. Certainly an experienced finals (and premiership) player. I still remember his burn off of Cyril in that winning GF. A pivotal moment IMO.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 19
monoccular replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Looks like the selectors agree too....barring a last minute change I must say these particular match ups would seem to be just made for Fitzy. I guess, one way or the other, this will be discussed again furiously post match, with one group saying absolutely right and another absolutely wrong. Gotta love this site. PS. Bugger re vanders. Hope it isn't anything serious - the site would go into meltdown with demands for Missen's sacking or execution if it is. Go Dees. -

Wow Great news for Jack, and the club. Still a hell of a long road ahead but well done. Great news for the club too that Max and JW thought of and organized it all - shows great camaraderie and club spirit. Hope it is an indicator of both players' long term intentions to be part of the Demon revival. PS. did bring a tear to my one eye. -
So, the father of one of the players, who also happens to be "an EssUndone legend" knew of this but thought it was confidential. And was happy to talk about it on radio!!! How can it have been confidential if he knew of it? All sounds very incestuous and typical of EssUndone's handling of this whole sad sorry sordid saga. Certainly designed to get the players to give their all for the club, isn't it ! Not !!!!And what hypocrisy to say that the players are frustrated by the leaks....at least some of which have undoubtedly come from the club.
