  1. I would be absolutely delighted were Spargo or ANB in the right place at the right time for us!! In fact I would care less who was the last player in the 22.
  2. I searched the AFL lists and couldn't find him on any list ... what game is he actually playing?
  3. Hopefully he will help fix one of my greatest bugbears with MFC over many years, even back to the early Daniher years when we enjoyed some success, that is lack of running and positioning when a player must know that the ball isn’t going to come to him. I used to refer to it as decoying, drawing at least one opponent away from the coming contest, making space especially for the leading forward. Whether it was laziness, lack of fitness or poor coaching / game plan I don’t know, but I will watch with interest if this happens. Have you considered that maybe Tomlinson / Frost playing is not a binary option?
  4. ...do you mean struggle as in 24, 24 & 25 games the last three seasons, including finals? Are you suggesting that GW$$ would have more success without such a (to use a horrible term much loved by some negative posters here) a list clogger. Maybe he was "just s depth player" making up the numbers?
  5. Steve Armstrong He may have just been there to run after those two, topping them up ??
  6. What is his injury issue? Someone suggested a foot - that would definitely put me off in a big way. Are you a Kiwi, or is there more to this up in Brisvegas?
  7. Scarlett was a top grade beckman, but what is his coaching pedigree? Just being a top player doesn't make one a top coach - Voss, Hird, and even over his first few years, Buckley spring to mind: and, conversely, I don't remember Clarkson as being a top player but his coaching career has been "pretty reasonable". Maybe that is the real problem - 1,2,3,4 quarters in a game, not just 1,2,3, or 1,2, or 1, or 0 !
  8. Do we actually have anyone at the club capable of developing anyone as a KPP forward? Someone like Neita or Ox? What are they doing these days?
  9. Too injury prone - not interested. Let's go for Jamie Elliott. !
  10. Hogan. Frawley. Howe. Frosty 2019 would certainly be an upgrade on Hibberd 2019. Hopefully Hibberd can get back to his 2018 form.
  11. I must admit to never watching GW$ much - some very mixed reactions on this site. ( I watched him with interest at the GF and didn't gain a lot ... but then he was far from Robinson Crusoe that day). Question, addressed please only to those who are positive about Adam: where do you see him fitting into our jigsaw puzzle? What position? What assets?
  12. .... and even then, only part time. I agree .... but then Gil just thrives on flawed systems. Look at his goal review system just for starters. He would fit in well with our overall, and in particular forward game plan then. ?
  13. Right downwind of Mr Burns’ state of the art nuclear plant â˜ąïž ??? Homer will become their #1 fan.
  14. Mmm. Last time i shot someone on the golf course I forgot to check his age. Looked more like 80 though.
  15. Interesting, after that performance.
  16. How about letting him to be "our Christian Petracca". I get a bit tired of hearing that player x needs to be player y.
  17. Martin Pike .... was that 3rd and 4th?
  18. .... and still he came second! Imagine had he run in a straight line ? That crook isn’t headless ?
  19. The club should have had the decency to acknowledge that but for the astute observers here at Demonland, nobody at the club would have realised that we even needed such help ?
  20. Yes of course we have missed him (Hogan), but had Tom had an uninterrupted and healthy season he would have been missed far less. And of course he wasn’t there at the business end of 2018 either.
  21. I agree generally with your comments and especially regards to putting. However there are exceptions - Ben Brown and the Dive Bomber are two who spring to mind.
  22. 6 months + mandatory jail time in Victoria means very little. Rarely if ever imposed.
  23. Liam was from a quite unique background and it was only when he was unfortunately injured and returned to his dysfunctional community that he “went astray”. One can only speculate what he could have achieved without that happening - interestingly Sean Charles suffered a very similar problem when he had a wrist injury, though not as serious of course as criminal proceedings and jail. (And of course $cully and Trengove are far more upstanding fine gentlemanly chaps than Mr ?. )
  24. So do you think we should trade every player who has any faults or limitations? I think we all agree that CP5 needs to work on endurance and set shot goal kicking - so rather than trade him, how about we encourage and help him address these limitations?
  25. The players have the law lid out to them very clearly at induction. Perhaps certain clubs confuse their players about what they take and when? But these are professional athletes and do know better - some just try to get away with things. Very clear indeed - he substituted a specimen .... QED! Maybe they do - according to their rules but not necessarily WADA ASADA.
