3 More Years for Chris Scott
72% Wiinning record in H+A, 69% with Finals included, totally happy to take the mickey out of him when he’s losing it in the box, but they are extraordinary numbers. I am impressed he is sticking fat, as those numbers are going to take a hit. He does seem cursed like Tom Haley though with finals and they should have had at least 1 if not 2 more GF in the last 10 years. However Geelong is making a logical decision and not throwing baby out with the bath water. Just too bad for him his tenure is extended right when they became our female Labradors. I also thought he was a dog of a player, Toby Greene standard, good but dirty, more so than Mitchell and Hodge, but I still respect his coaching, just don’t like the man, much like Hardwick.

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Just imagine if he shines like Powell did or even something close to it. I can see StK supporters opening a vein….. ‘faaaark Petracca, faaaark Dunstan…’ Ratten will definitely cop some heat if he plays more than 10 games for us. Must say I met Ratten a number of times when I was living in Christmas Hills, around Yarra Glen, always polite and up for a gas while we waited for Pizza or whatever. I think he needs a reboot of his assistants seems to work for some coaches.

Welcome to Demonland - Pick 17
What I love, is that it is not just words about our team, our culture, our coaches and support staff, they are all competition benchmark. So you know that we have the ability yo take a later pick and realise the maximum potential of that recruit, in effect making them better than a higher draft pick in an inferior system. It also means when we trade out players later (something I hate but concede will happen) that we will get slight overs for them, benefiting from that same superior system we have. And if Pert wanted to be really clever, find a way to monetize our IP in the form of coaches who leave for other clubs. Not sure this has even been done anywhere and I might be delusional. But just imagine if Hawthorn had been able to get some sort of return on all the coaches they have produced and exported. They would have made some cash. Anyway forgive tired ramblings. Personally I hope pick 17 goes on a KPP/forward.

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Depends if Good Harmes or Bad Harmes shows up. Harmes' end of season was his best patch ever/equal to a couple of 2018 games. But the big preseason story will be Petty vs Tomlinson. Honestly don't know how they will manage.

Welcome to Demonland: Luke Dunstan
Insurance, have to believe the club sees an upside in him, look at how much ANB's disposal has improved under our coaches.

To be an arrogant fan?
I looked up our overall winning percentage as a club since 1897 today ~46%, Collingwood ~60%. And inferior to Carlton (still 57%)/Geelong/Essendon/Hawthorn/Sydney/Richmond. We need 10 years of better than .75 to start addressing the lost years. I plan on being humble for a while yet. Obviously if we get multiple flags in a short period of time that would shift the needle. On the other hand of any multiple premiership team, we have the best strike rate .72, and significantly better than the Greg Normans of the AFL, Collingwood on .35.

Centre Bounce Analysis from Grand Final
The thing that Clarkson identified that I think is worth a mention is our ability to step through tackles and the 'high hands' handball. A few years ago Hawthorn/Geelong/Footscray were getting away with many throws, allowing them to clear quickly. Our point of difference (started by Oliver and not given enough credit for, because it is as game changing as Aaron Davey's forward defensive pressure was) is the handball he gets away above his head. This gives us a hot knife through butter advantage when being tackled. And while many players have adopted it, it started with Melbourne. Love the effort the guy put in I am often given to thinking stuff just happens at centre bounce, but know there is more going on than I can ever comprehend. Also that nuffies that potted Jack Viney need to own it publicly.

2022 Fixture - We are the Hard Draw!
So personally I am loving that: * We will get primetime slots for our games. Our games rated well. * That we won the lot with a 'hard draw', now we ARE the hard draw. * We travel as well as anyone, Perth is now sacred ground for us. But most of all, every other side will be a, scared of us everywhere, home or away. b, we are scared of nowhere. c, will feel like they are never enough in front. And lastly, like i predicted after GWS r3, we now have BOOMSHAKALA, am tipping we kick the highest winning score next year as well as the best percentage. 20/20 Cricket scores coming up.

"Luke Jackson won't make it as a ruckman" Dwayne Russell 3/12/20
Lyon talked about a new term, I haven’t nailed it yet, Ariel Midfielder, Tapping Mid, etc, anyway, Strong rucks have always been essential in finals, the only exception was when there could be a 3rd man up. Right now between all our players, that other teams want Gawn and Jackson would be at the top of the tree. Nothing will throw other teams balance off like trying to cover two mobile dominant big men, when teams are lucky to have one. Two aces to quote Ted. (There is so much Ted about Melbourne right now.)

Is your life complete now?
So my family organized our memberships for my older brother and his son to go. We had another two which we gave to my brothers’ best mate (and a mad Dees supporter) who has late stage pancreatic cancer along with his son. He won’t last past Christmas and I’m emotional that he and his son got to do this together. I have not even been able to post on the forum much beyond the like button, I have been so overcome with what this win means.

Channel 7 Broadcast - Tips on how to synch to the radio
Am going to be watching on a small delay so that the app can buffer at a HD resolution, not a sure thing here in Sudan, makes sense to try and take advantage of MMM or SEN. It is resisting the temptation to check real time scores that is hard. Thanks for good suggestions.

The Jack Viney Made Me Cry Thread
Had a couple of mates message me what was being said about targeting Gawn, (to which I replied they (Lloyd and co. media windsocks) have been reading posts on the forum. The bit they missed, Viney, followed very closely by Oliver, Harmes, and Tmac will fly the flag very high no 2000 repeat, and also that Viney will murder anyone that touches a Melbourne player with off the ball stuff, you hit Gawn in the kidneys, get ready to pee blood yourself.

Tom McDonald Re-Signs Until 2024
Will admit to being greedy , I want both, and don't get me wrong I love Tmac and have defended him long and hard.

Tom McDonald Re-Signs Until 2024
I trust the club, but am surprised by this, I would have traded Tmac before Weid, not saying that this happens. but I think we could have got good value for Tom. I worry that after 2022 all our spine is pretty old, lots of youth in the smalls not so much in the KPP. Brown, Tmac, May, Gawn. Can Petty or Tomlinson become a FB? I can't see Petty/Tomlinson as a CHF/FF in 2023 either (but then the FD has well and truly earnt my trust).

Flying the flag
Is it just me or does anyone else think that the Nylex Silos by the Yarra need a full length Max Gawn? Rent a projector someone and light it up at night if we don't have time to paint one. Am going to be pushing this on SEN hopefully next week.

BEST TEAM IN THE AFL ERA 1990 TO CURRENT
Huge love for the man, also for James MCD but who do you drop? Captains didn't fair well with my side, despite my love for them, Green didn't get an emergency spot either. @SupermercadoAlso re Bennet - very good point!!! I feel dirty that I didn't have room for S Febey. If Salem has another year like this year he becomes a starter. CAVEAT if the team salutes on the 25th, then all of my selections become null and void, and the winning team is the greatest since 1964.
