A Helping Hand Up
Good pick up Jontee - I have noticed this and i think it is both clever and honorable. Being respectful, both with handshakes and interviews, denies opposition motivation and also demonstrates a superior level of confidence that in itself is intimidating to the opposition. Walk quietly and carry a big stick etc, no one is in doubt that we are BRUTAL at the contest, and when you are as BRUTAL as the team is, no need to carry on like a nong off the field or out of contest. You don't see an elephant running around like a mongoose a'la Ginnivan/Weightman. I know I often bring things back to me and it annoys some, but when I was a cop, treating a crook fairly and not being too 'Baptist' with chastisement after a physical confrontation was often commented upon by the crook, especially the older ones, the words that come back to me are 'You new guys are making it hard to hate you'.

What They Are Saying at West Lakes
Computer says No But 6 goals was very close to the pin.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Port Melbourne
Hopefully someone else who has seen more can say, have not watched enough of him.

CASEY: Rd 15 vs Port Melbourne
Kade has been in the gym! Looked at those highlights and was fully impressed by his backside and legs, looks so strong through the core. Full credit to him for what must have been a power of work. I am thinking he must be close to seniors, Bedford deserves his go but Kade is bloody close. Shout out to the coaches as well. When I think of how TJ looked like a dish cloth all those years ago (with a to die for field kick it must be said) that lackadaisical approach is long gone.

POSTGAME: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
What I haven't seen elsewhere is that, Fogarty hurt his finger when giving another one in the guts to Lever, when Lever was in front taking a mark. I normally like Dunstall but that was a [censored] comment. I was a bit annoyed Jack didn't sit him on his [censored] with a good push.

CHANGES: Rd 17 vs Geelong
I would really love to see Gawn forward more, I remember Paul Salmon in the forward line for Essendon, he was devastating (and also a decent bloke, a bit like the Maddens and Danihers), and this is what I think Gawn could do as a proper ruck fwd. And before it is argued that we are 'robbing Peter to pay Paul', our Midfield just showed what it can do with reduced ruck presence. Also we didn't need Gawn down the line to save us, as our defence was perfection. We have come through more adversity this year with injuries. and it is giving us a look at alternate strategies, I see growth in the team this year. Personally I think Scott will be sweating bullets about the game with us, that soft Kangas match is not what they needed before us. They have Kade out now as well as Stewart, I think Gawn forward would unsettle the cats nicely without us missing too much. Just some random ideas.

VOTES: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
Oliver Petracca Langdon Brayshaw Viney Salem Not convinced with my votes, May Lever and Harmes all good, and we broke our record for intercept marks. Am giving greater weight today to the midfield working with no recognised ruck, whereas I'd normally go Men's department.

What is Hibberd's injury?

NON-MFC: Round 16, 2022
Zorko a month on the news, that doesn’t help their cause.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Am going to be a 2y.o. about it. I WANT BOTH. SCREEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAM In my best parade ground voice of about 100db.

Clayton Oliver: A Demon for Life
So does all of Essendon...

Sean Wight
Bastards, made me cry.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
On any other day that last match was 3 votes, Virgil Van Dyk would have been happy with that game.

2022 Match Review Panel
So 4 weeks is still a win for the cats, but also within parameters. If it had been a bad boy like Toby 6 or for Hawkins 1

Majak Daw Retires
I hope he is ok, a bit worried tbh.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
All fair, his position is the most vulnerable by far, more curious though about what you thought of his attitude/head space, was this you agreeing by saying he's better suited?

The Run Home
The Voldermorts of the AFL (Essendon) in 2000 (who were kissed on their bee's [censored] by the injury gods) didn't care who they were playing, they were just mentally scarring everyone. Our best would smash their best (would be a hell of a game). My point is we can mentally damage teams with our run home. There will be some media noise about something, Fugazi, but then we go bang bang bang (really want to see Max kick another 50 on the run in a final.)

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Anyone think that Weid's body language looked good, he seemed 'up' I know he didn't kick a bag, but i swear there was something different about his demeanour, anyone else think he looked in a good head space? I loved that he did team 1st things all game, his decision making was good. We win because (of Viney) of our settled defense, it is not a mystery, we had close to our best back six on the deck, and then we play our best game of the year. As I said in the changes thread, I think a few in the team have the yips (for me it's as bad as COVID), Bedford's happy confidence having a ping at goal I think will help the other smalls, am expecting a stronger return next week as the good vibes rub off. I also love Gawn's kicks from 50 for goal, there is an arrogance that I think stamps authority on the game when he is back well rested, I hope they keep it up.

CHANGES: Rd 16 vs Adelaide
2 of 3 am with you, however Rivers has been BOG in the 2's and his drive has looked brilliant, so I think he has dialed it back in. I like Bedford's speed and he is dog hungry and not second guessing himself with shots at goal, that enthusiasm is good for the others that still have the yips. And I want Max rested for Geelong, they will merde themselves at Skilled seeing him down there, he lives in Blicav's head and I know Scott still has bad dreams. I also think Max has more than one injury healing.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Nankervis was Gawn like, almost...nah... feel sorry for tiges. I must be old school but there was a moment and 10min mark of 4th qtr where they could have buried Stewart with body contact and didn't, Demons would have planted a tombstone

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Is a fair comment, I just don't mind as we do it as much as any team.

NON-MFC: Round 15, 2022
Not sure I agree, I had written them off, but ever since they got Balta and Vlaustin back in, they have looked a lot more likely defensively. A couple of the bastards are having Indian summers as well.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Rewatched the game today, while packing house up for a move to the Ivory Coast. Sparrow stood out on 2nd viewing, would say he has reversed some recent poor form and had perhaps his best game to date. Closely watched Bowey again, did some good things and not desperate to drop him, but he doesn’t seem to be making the same space and time for himself that he was doing so well.

POSTGAME: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
https://twitter.com/AFL/status/1539938525511946241?t=KRpJg1WBeEA5wCGKDXm_kA&s=19 This just brings such joy, we are the most BRUTAL team in the comp, not dirty just tough and very brave. So many satisfyingly elements to the win. Weid's body language was transformed as well. Lever back into form, our back 6 so good in every position. Wings on song JJ accomplished. Contest and Pressure industry best. Truly a role playing team. Also what do we reckon, is Bedford now best 22?

VOTES: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Viney Lever Oliver Brayshaw Harmes Jackson Viney - Actually think he has had other games as good as this Stiff - Jordan ANB (even 1 goal he’d have had a vote) Fritsch Petracca and a vote is deserved by all the Hibbo types, who did there jobs perfectly.
