  1. Similar to me soxy We had some very ordinary sides in the seventies but I never remember us being beaten so convincely every week. At least back then we were in games for most of the game and got run over in the last quarter. This team over the last two years is seldom in the game at quarter time. The teams of 2012 and 3 are IMO easily the worst teams the MFC have put on the field since the early 1950's
  2. The majority of this group is on its fourth coach in just over 24 months and the results only seem to get worse. It is not the coach. The playing group is not good enough. Why is that so hard to accept.
  3. It will be a new experience if one of them shows it at AFL level jazza
  4. The problem with our midfield is t u that we do not have the likes Ebert, Boak, Cornes and Cassisi to help the kids. We are trying to do it with almost exclusively kids in their first year or two Put Viney and Toumpas in Port next year and they would in my opinion be as good as Wingard. But alas at the MFC they will have try and carry all the load with little help.
  5. Besides what i do rpfc i am buggered if i know what more I could have done in the past or right now. I also struggle with the idea seeing that what people write on here effects they way the club is run. I get the feeling that you think giving your thoughts on Demonland makes the MFC function at some lower level than would otherwise be the case. Perhaps I am just missing your point.
  6. But a way better midfield and some decent older players.
  7. As we have easily the worst mid field in the competition and there are 18 teams They may well say he is the 150th best mid fielder in the competition. Not much in those terms.
  8. Funny I think it is the other way round
  9. Since 2006 the majority of our picks have been duds. We picked them no one else. In 2009 everyone cosidered us to be ahead of Richmnod and having low picks before GWS came in would make us a power house before GWS got going. Guess who is more likely to be a power house now. No prizes it is Richmond. Please stop trying to blame others it is the 100% fault of the MFC that we find ourselves where we are.
  10. That is what I am saying if we had used our picks well from 2006 well and had a win at all costs attitude we would be 8 spots above them in the competition. Instead we are easy beats for a side that had not won a game this year or looked like winning one till they hit us.
  11. Sorry you are right, wrong player. Still does not change the fact he is average at best.
  12. come on guys they should still be so far behind us that they would not be able to hear the band. Right now they beat us because of our [censored] ups not they good work.
  13. Please don't tell me it is a new feeling Redleg. I am confident you have felt this way for some time. I guess suspecting we are the worst team and having it shoved up your nose with a 6 goal loss is another thing. In all honest I have largely been resigned to our fate for some time now. I have no expections so little worry at present. Believe it or not the only thing keeping me interested are a number of you on Demonland. Thanks guys.
  14. I have been growing up so long iv'a I have turned from a young unmarried man into a grand father. Not sure after 50 years i can grow much more. jeez
  15. Please tell me what I have done to bring the MFC to this postion I have Paid my membership every year, I Have gone to most games over the last 20 years, I have bought raffle tickets I have gone to AGM's every year, I have Stood in the outer and supported my side. Can you please tell me as a member what more I could have done and how I have contributed to the shell that is our club? Seems to me the people I have entrusted my club to have turned it into a shell not the other way round.
  16. I only have one objection rpfc "some" "many' would be more appropriate
  17. My view is the right think was to go for the juggular But they took the approach that would best protect their investment.
  18. Since when did a TV channel think about "doing the right thing" It is about money front , centre and back.
  19. Their may be a couple of clubs that think he is worth a chance at a reasonable deal. There is quite often a coach that thinks I can bring it out in this kid. We had one who thought Gillies, Pedersen and Sellar where a chance to make it. Ha ha.
  20. Jazza with the exception of a couple that have had bad starts though injury I think we have seen almost everyone on the list. I don't believe there are any gems there starved for exposure. We have a lot of gravel and no matter how much you polish them you end up with gravel. The gems need to be recruited over the next 3 -4 years.
  21. That is one part of why i say I would like to keep him jazza. What I am suggesting is drive a hard bargain. Only accept the a deal more than what we believe he is worth. If there is a taker take it if not he stays.
  22. Are they winning us games? no average players in the worst MFC side in fifty years. There is a reason Jones spent all that time at box hill.
  23. He will be four years too late jazza. Watts should have spent way more time there in the beginning. But as usual we want miracles from kids in their first couple of years. I think Jack actually thinks he is way better than he is because he has believed the MFC propaganda that started in 2009. I actually think we need to retain him but at the right price. If that is not possible trade for the best deal we can imagine and if no one takes the bait. Well guess what Jack you stay here or go to another low side in the Pre season draft.
  24. Spot on bb The football world thinks we are a joke so a little humour does not seem out of place.
