I think you have missed the point TBFI was saying we cannot have another untried assistant as the senior coach. There are probably a number of assistants out there who would make good coaches. The MFC similar cannot afford them.

I agree with you RB!The exception is the last line. The day I stop supporting the MFC will be the day I completely drop the AFL at senior level. No Dees = No AFL for me. As my wife constantly reminds me their is more to life than the AFL

I agree McQueenThe MFC must have a coach who has a good senior record. 2014 is going to be hard with few wins. We cannot have the situation where in the first week of May with no wins the press / fans saying this guy cannot coach! IMO it is vitial we have either Eade, Williams or someone similar. The MFC cannot afford another Untried assistant.

The story I heard on the radio at 2.00pm said he was not able for family reason to move from Sydney. That is all I know. However if we think he is coming to coach the Dees we are kidding ourselves. It is someone else IMO

For what it is worth I had lunch with my brother who is down from Brisbane today. Afer he stopped laughing about the dees I reminded him he has a nut case running the Lions and that shut him up. But I digress He says that the scuttlebutt is that Voss was sacked because they wanted Roos and he had told the Pres he would never take a position while there was an incumbent in that position. They were scared he would go to WCE and that Voss might get the Lions into the finals and how would it look to then sack a coach that has you playing finals. Everyone thinks the Pres is a dick head and he will be gone soon. My brother believes The new mob including LM will walk in when push comes to shove. There is even a suggestion LM might be conscripted!

We got plastered by North but what does that prove? We get plastered by north every year. The week before we went we got plastered by Geelong. So does that mean we should not play Geelong before we go to Darwin. IMO it is the simple Good sides win and bad sides lose. We lose because we are bad it makes bugger all difference who or where we play them.

D2D there is only one way. Win games That will fix the majority of our problems. Now it is an easy thing to say and another thing to achieve. Most Dees members / supporters are used to losing. What we find hard to take is not being competitive. For the last two years we have not been even competitive. There is very little you can do about that problem. The People who run the MFC have to get the team to a point over the next two years where we are competitive. Until that happens and we start winning games you are wasting your time talking. The MFC is now in the position where words mean zero. Just buckle down for a long hard grind. IMO you have a thankless job ahead and nothing you can say will change one thing with the average member. Bloody sad but IMO true

WJ I seldom disagree with you. Can you please show me the proof that it has any effect on the MFC? We play poorly almost every week what has Darwin got to do with it. The results this year show when we play a good side we get done by a large margin it does not matter where the game is, IMO it is the quality of the team we are playing
