I do not agree with that at all Nasher. First of all I don't believe it is fair the compare the two Second I don't believe I am owed a flag at all. I sure as hell would like one however what I am saying is simply because this time the future looks promising does not mean it will pan out that way. In half a century I have been in this spot a number of times for bugger all reward. As recently as 2010 we all thought things looked rosy with a number of young high draft picks and what looked like a good administration. We all know it ended in probably the biggest debacle in the MFC's history. It is just frustrating for people like me who have been through half a century of false dawns. I hope to God that when I am not around in 25 years time you are not facing the same problem.

Spot on stuie and I don't even need a flag after half a century I will be happy with a team that plays finals and finish in the top 4 in a few years time.

We all hope that PD but right now i suggest no one really knows.

T Mac looks around him and sees the amount ordinary players like Dawes and the Prince get and thinks why do these ordinary players get so much? Perhaps he does not think we are building to a flag. perhaps he just sees more of the same. He actually might have a better idea than all of us in the outer PD. it has been known to happen.

If you were T Mac would you be doing any different? The AFL is a professional competition the old play for the club is well dead. Good players playing for down the list sides have two choices get the maximum money or chase a flag at a good club. Get the maximum you can extract Tom because the MFC or any other club will cast you out as soon as it suits them.

Being down and having no sustained success for half a century will do that to any sporting club rufus. The simple fact is that right now ( like most of the last 50 years ) we don't have the players to be better than a 9th of 10th team. The hope is that some of the kids will develop into good players and will take us higher. In 2016 we have our best socks pulled up and all the "right" attitude in the world wont change our results. Hopefully with a few more player changes and as some kids develop we will go higher.

I notice peter has never repeated his " we should be playing finals in 2016" statement. Every one is allowed a few mistakes but I often wonder if he quickly discovered after that he was at the MFC?

I get the feeling the IOC and the AFL are the same organisation. Has anyone checked the directors of both?

I am confident most think we will lose. That is one difference between lower sides and higher sides. It will be all confidence for the public but the reality will be a lot different.

He will struggle to get past October. All over due to injuries etc. But to be honest I never saw much a couple of good quarters in three years. His chance has past.

I think if you play in crap sides with worse adminisrations for too long it effects your brain jnr. That two have endured the worst of the worst. I feel very sorry for them. Their experiences at the MFC would tear the best of us down.

Wakey Wakey LG this is the MFC we are talking about. However it was a great dream I have had it a few times over the years.

I do not believe that O mac will make it and Frost will be useful at best but neither will help us rise into the top eight.
