The same thing makes me wonder too bb.However I think it has a lot to do with the size of the player pool required for the AFL level now. With the addition of two new teams we have had to find a min. of another 80 players. IMO these players would not have made the cut in years gone by. IMO the talent pool is now stretched too far.

I guess bb and Redleg when you get to the point in the draft when Nicholson, Mckenzie and Davis were selected you are getting to the bottom of the barrel. They would not be high / Rookie picks if they were perfect.If Mckenzie was a good kick he would have gone in the first round. If only he could kick!!!!!!!

After all the agreement of earlier today Redleg trouble is on the horizon.Davis's kicking ability will go the same way as Mckenzie, Nicholson and G Mac. IMO poor kickers generally stay that way. Average kicks can etch out an AFL career poor ones do not. Replace them with players who can kick, they just break your heart and keep you anchored in the bottom half of the competition.

Having looked at both side in Carlton and Collingwood I find it hard to see the Pies winning tonight.The pies have been hit big time with injuries. I feel a very small pang for them. Blues tonight for me. Sad to say it Redleg but they are eight bound. Pies to miss.
