  1. Believe it or not the main reason for the trip is to visit the dentist. My wife went 8 months ago and is very happy with results. Her quote $35 - 40 000 in Aust. Will be finished this trip, final cost including hotels $7000. She is very happy and no problems so I am diving in. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be taking holidays to visit a dentist in a foreign land. Life never ceases to surprise.
  2. Anyone doing anything positive this weekend? My Grand daughter arrives in an hour for her Friday night with Nana and Pa. Then a movie tomorrow morning. A couple of friends around tomorrow night for a few drinks in front of the open fire. Off to Thailand early next week. Quite looking forward to the next few days.
  3. My experience ( going back a long time ago) is you need to start with very good Scotch or Cognac. The Very Good stuff is more like a liqueur. Poor quality tastes like kerosene. Not that I have drunk much kerosene!
  4. Is there any spirit / liqueur you like Redleg?
  5. After 53 years of supporting this club Bbo I seriously doubt there is enought single malt in Scotland.
  6. It is like a nightmare from which you cannot wake!
  7. I did something I have never done as well Redleg I did not intend to listen / watch the game.I heard the score on ABC news and got what i expected. Like you the MFC gives me nothing but pain now. Never in 53 years have I ever been in this position, even in the dark days of the seventies did I feel remotely close to this. I wake every day now and half wish to pick up the HUN and find we have returned our licence. God delivery me.
  8. It is the next few months that is the problem Redleg.Amazing to say this but this weekend with the game in WA on Sunday night I might be able to block out the MFC and enjoy the weekend. If the media will just talk about other teams I am home. Another interesting factor is i have almost lost all interest in AFL teams. Most weekends I struggle to know who has won. The converse is I am really enjoying the Amos and plan to visit my old Country team in July. Big weekend planned with a few of my old mates from my school days.
  9. Redleg I don't find it hard to understand.I know lots will say I am overly pessimistic but I struggle to see any positives at present. We seem to be down a large hole and have not stopped digging. the only thing to discuss each week is the size of the loss. No one connected with the club ever even says the "win" word these days. I try to stay off most threads, not very successfully I might add. Can you think of anything positive to discuss as I cannot
  10. If anyone could it would be Starbucks Redleg
  11. It is hard to screw up Bananas!
  12. Then drowning is a real possibility!
  13. I doubt it Redleg they would need to first find the effort needed to climb onto the diving board.
  14. I hope we live that long mate!It pays to remind yourself there is a lot more to life than a football team.
  15. iPad is working well R and B typing on it right now.So all is well. Ha ha the MFC beating Hawthorn I think you are at Starbucks right now. Seriously mate I have gotten over the Dees. Having spent five years of being irrelevant I have accepted we are headed for the oblivion. The only thing left is the time frame. I am at peace
  16. Spot on RedlegI don' want to appear a smart arse but i have just got home after a great 24 hours. Baby sitting overnight my two and half year grand daughter never ceases to bring a smile to my face. Then off to see Uni Blacks play De la salle in the top of the ladder clash. Blacks won by 11 points, close game and by Amos standards a good one. Nice to go to a football match were I have the belief that my team has a good chance of winning. My wife and I had a good day meeting a couple of friends, couple of drinks in Carlton on the way home. On the way home she said to me "nice to go to a games and enjoy yourself!" Next comment was are you going to another dees game this year? Hmm very good question
  17. That suggests they had some at some point in the last two years to find Redleg
  18. Oh thank God you had me every concerned!
  19. Is that why it is so grey today?
  20. Now I know things are in the toilet. You have cast aside bananas? You are on the edge Redleg. Can I help?
  21. Jazza believe me I am not looking for a scape goat. But there is no denying the spot we currently find ourselves in at present. From 2011we have been progressively worse each year we must be on the longest J curve in history. I don't doubt it is going to take a long time to cure our current position but doing nothing is not a course we can take between now and the end of 2013. Members, supporters and Sponsers must have some sense of hope for the 2014 year. Right now there is none
  22. I purposely made the 19th comment. It was meant to show we could be worse than this year. The current course IMO is simply not working I see not one improvement since the end of 2011. The scoreboard is the only honest thing in the AFL
  23. So far these changes have been spectacularly successful we are now worse than we were two years ago and last year. What will next year be 19 th?
  24. Where on earth do you get the idea we are doing it properly?
  25. Me too Bbo.Oh to be ninth of tenth on the ladder and consider you have a chance of winning half the games you play. Sounds like heaven.
