Has anyone else noticed JB burning up the seniors at North!

They are always long bb when you realise after round one that your team is absolute rubbish that will struggle to be even competitive.

Hate to be the one to break the news to you bbBut that is not one of your better ones!

After another stellar year by the MFC I have begun to reflect on a few of the players. Two spring immediately to mind Byrnes, I understand the reasons for recruiting him but IMO he has been a large flop. Perhaps noble reasons but epic mistake Dawes similar to Byrnes but for a different reason IMO this guy is injury prone and will give us little over the balance of his contract. There were plenty of Pies people telling me long before the end of 2012 that he was injury prone. He would need to be dramatically different in 2014, Yesterday was the clincher for me. Could we give both to another club and pay half their salaries to get them off our list and create space? I know that it is doubtful anyone would want them but could we try?

Sad but very true, I have done a new " good enough" list since I did the first one and it is shrinking by the day. My latest estimate is down to 12. Long way back from there

Out on Saturday night at a birthday party at which the Essendon / Carlton game was being played. two interesting things - How I would like to support either of those side, they played it out to the last seconds. Both in my opinion are on the way up and over the next few years to possible grand final appearances They were both below the MFC 6 years ago! - To a person all I got from the assembled group was pity. That is the ones that knew I was a dees supporter. The rest thought I supported Carlton. Oh for the days when we actually meant something in the competition. Supporting Carlton on Saturday reminded me what it is like to barrack for a decent team and being involved in the match. A lost feeling I realised on Saturday night. PS it is probably the wrong thing to say on here but the mate and I that I go to the games with most days decided yesterday we are going to a number of decent games next year instead of the agony that is the MFC. I would really like to enjoy a game of AFL for a change.
