Ok I thought that was your aim I agree There is no doubt that DM became President purely because of Jimmy's health. Fate is a strange thing. With hindsight we have never recovered from losing JS

Hi bb You have me a little confused in the above are you referring to DM? He is the Chairman not the CEO. CS was the CEO. Can you enlighten me please.

What has happened to Demonland ? Everyone who wants to say something creates a new thread. I agree with Redleg it has become un readable. Please can we show a little restraint and comment in an existing Thread where possible.

Yes Redleg pity we will not hear any of it. I suspect that some board members tapped DM on the shoulder monday night or Tuesday morning Something major happened between his piece on the web site and yesterday afternoon. It was a 180 degree turn. I know nothing about DM the person except what I see on TV and at the AGM I think he is probably a nice guy who ended up as the President because of the health of JS. Probably never wanted the job. Unfortunately he has been the chief when we have spiralled down wards to the current low line. He looked a broken man yesterday, worse than CS. Only a matter of time before he moves on IMO.

Strange feeling tonight. Five years ago we were a basket case Then JS and CS came in as a team to save the club The debt was extinguished and the rebuild of the team started. We had lots of early draft picks and the way ahead looked good. Now here we are in a worse spot than before they started. Sadly the dream died a year or two ago. I saw that the only way forward was for CS and DM to go. The first half has happened and the second will probably happen before 2013 is over. But tonight I feel nothing but sorrow. How could such a noble and worth cause end this way? Life sometimes really is a s--- sandwich.

Agree 100% Redleg particularly Pedersen. I watched his highlights reel and it seemed to be all one game which made me wonder. All these selections concerned me at the time. I said a number of time over the summer that Roden, Brynes, Gillies and Pedersen were players who were past it or struggled to get games with there previous teams. Now it is only one game but they do not look flash so far. Why with us?

Not in my memory Maurie But it is not as flash as it was once.

A small amount of my faith in the Electronicworld has been restored. Optus has rung me twice today and emailed asking if there is anything more thay can do re my iPad troubles. Nothing from Apple!

There have been days when I thought I was Redleg. I would just like an even break when I enter the electronics world. a 100% failure rate is surely not the average. My wife is much wiser than me when I was complaining about Apple this morning she said " you woke up alive today didn't you? That is a hell of a start"

dpositive I cannot believe the problems I have with the electronic world. In the last year I have bought a PVR, TV, and two tablet computers. All of which either expired in short order after purchase or would not work properly. Modern technology is wonderful when working but a giant pain when it does not. These guys make the MFC look like the model of good operation.

March 2013 has not been one of my better months leaving aside the football. I bought an Asus Android tablet computer, it ran for 20 minutes and expired. No problem got my money back and ventured to the Apple shop. My brother was giving Apple a big wrap ( I should have known better he is a Lions Supporter ) Well 9 days and 3 hours on the phone to Optus, a 1 hour visit to the Apple shop and 2 hours on the phone to Apple it has been returned as it would not do most function at a satisfactory level and some not at all. Thank God for the trusty Dell and Microsoft. Our first game is on the last day of March thank god the MFC has nothing to do with computers or I would be really worried.

We are as one there Redleg. I also think he is way better as a player than Dawes. It is going to be interesting to see if Dawes was a good buy. I used to think he was a good position player in a good team not sure he has that around him at the MFC The jury is out for me.
