Bailey Laurie to half-back in 2026?
Agree Mr. Leg, its now or never for those 4. To be honest I don't see any on the 2027 list.

Over the last decade we have had a number of early selections from SA that were supposed to be world beaters. The good ones have gone home early or been poor. The only good one I can remember in recent times is ANB. I am very cautious about SA prospects.

Preseason 2025/2026
I am not itching for the season to start. When you get into the last section of your life you realize you might only have a few seasons left I am in no rush! As we have returned to lower levels of the ladder, trading and drafting etc is the enjoyable period when we can imaging what our new additions will drive us higher up the ladder. Life goes past fast enough Cam. Enjoy the next few months, we haven't lost a game yet! And the ladies are in the finals and play tomorrow. Enjoy today March will come around fast enough.

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
However if the vic boys have a lesser skill set you lose out in winning games. I am with JT take the best available and if they turn out to be very good so be it. Lots of drafted players want a change after 2 -3 years be they Vics or not. Hopefully we will have the Caulfield training site under way that should impress a lot.

Gawn Interview on SEN (6/11/25)
I mentioned at the time that we gave Oliver away, that shows how much the club wanted him gone. There is a interesting story of Oliver and the MFC that has yet to be told. I think the breaking point was the night he spent with Smith that ended up with him in hospital. Oh to be a fly on the wall.

Kobe McDonald
For decades we have had a Macdonald on our list some years some years 2, one was a captain. The lone surviver is Tmac who is likely to only have 2026 left. Get the boy!

Welcome to Demonland: Oscar Berry
From watching for some time. The goal kicker would get 5 to 6 max. The punter about the same. It all depends on how tight the game is and a few other distractions. Whatever way you look at it is not many. They don’t get paid as much as a lot of other positions in the team which probably says a lot.

New Rules For AFL 2026 - All SEVEN of ‘em!
Having read through these changes I am certain that in the main they will make no difference than fans disengaging with the umpires and numerous arguments about decisions. Umpiring an AFL game is not easy IMO these changes will make more difficult for umpires. Let’s no forget we have 4 of them out there these days, IMO this already leads to different decisions on infringements. Making it harder for umpires.

Tassie Devils Possible Extinction
Of that 5 million 4.9 million are from India who are not into football games of any sort. You have a point if we discussing Cricket But we are discussing AFL which doesn't interest large groups of Soccer, NRL and Union. That combination would out number Aussie rules. All that adding Tassie will achieve is to increase the number of teams at the bottom with no chance every year from 4 to 5.
