Well Macca I agree with a couple of items on your list, not sure our whole forward line is dysfunctional but we definitely only have one key forward and he needs to turn around a very ordinary 2019. I find it difficult to see us kicking a winning score against the top sides. And sadly I share your lack of enthusiasm for our coaching department. our season will IMO turn on how many injuries we get to our better players, I am assuming a better run than this year AVB is vital to our chances. Having said that I still think we can win 13- 14 games and make eighth place.

We finished second last this year. Top four is a long way back, 13 places is a huge jump. If we don't play a final I would agree with you but with the holes we still have making finals will be a good result after 2019.

I agree with you Dante but I am not quite as bullish as you. I think we are a 7-8th placed talent at present. We cannot expect miracles from our draftees in 2020 and I still worry about our ability to kick winning scores against the better sides. Imo it all still hangs too much on TMac. However I think we will make the eight in 2020 probably in that spot.

There is a debate going on now in amo ranks about this very thing WJ. Seems things are not as amateur as some people believe. They have a weighting system that supposedly stops the bigger clubs getting bigger but does not seem to be working.

You are correct 58er. However I have chosen not to pay more / increase the complexity of going to a football game. When it is too hard ( for me) it becomes a tv game ( if it is on free to air). For years I have considered my membership as a charitable donation. Like Gorgoroth there is a year not too far away that I will become a 3 game member. And just go to games against interstate teams. Life changes and that is the way it goes.

I know exactly how you feel Gorgoroth. Sadly the MFC membership has a high ratio of older people and our problem will only increase. We need sustained success to get young people to replace us.
