  1. Frying pan or fire choice.
  2. I really don't think he is that bad, if fact is anyone that bad.
  3. So who are you going to put in place of Garlett?
  4. That will do for a start against the Hawks.
  5. You have got to be kidding, this thread lowering the morale of the playing group! if there were true than we should close down Demonland. What a load of cods wallop.
  6. He is our second best scorer! When we are getting belted every week and cannot score to save ourselves the second best of that lot does not say much.
  7. If you were in his shoes which club would you join? Not a hard one to answer.
  8. Because that is as good as it gets. Trade if a good deal is in the offering.
  9. Though perhaps accurate.
  10. You have hit it exactly Dr. The rest of the season are practise games for me too.
  11. He was the steak knives in the May deal DJ. Between injuries and concussion issues was never going to make it at GCS. Similar is happening already with us. Sadly his body is not up to the rigours of AFL.
  12. You have my vote RN. Not that it means much.
  13. It was never going to fly. Taking over public space in the 21st century ! Desperate at best.
  14. I agree Wiseblood it is hard to see how it could make them worse and who knows it might brighten up a few. I still think the major problem are the injuries we have, we are playing a lot of VFL standard players who would not be getting a look in if the injuries were lower. Add the loss of form of a few plus I have little doubt a couple are playing with injuries as well. Add in that we saw on prelim day last year we are still players short of a GF list the result is likely to be a near bottom finish this year. I don't think rest periods/ honest meetings etc will make much difference, as my father used to say it is hard to pull up your socks when you don't have any on!
  15. Essendon has won two premierships since my daughter changed to the bombers and while I have not checked the details they have won one hell of a lot more games than the MFC in that time. As for my GD you can guarantee she will enjoy watching the cats way more that the Dees over the next decade or two. Oh a question how many flags have we won in the last 54 years?
  16. Unfortunately it is not part of the game DZ it is part of the DNA of the MFC. Every team has had regular visits to finals and GF's most have won one or more. Our two visits in 55 years have resulted in beltings, the games were over at quarter time, in between we have mostly been poor I have no idea why it has afflicted the MFC for this long but there it is.
  17. The aspiration and the reality are a gulf apart.
  18. I think we are both hopelessly conflicted SPC. Sadly after 55 years of being in the doldrums we will never find our way up, losing is now part of our DNA. The best we can hope for is the occasional flirt with a final or two when the gods smile on us for a season or two every decade.
  19. Too late MR, if you were a potential Dees supporter and you watched Wednesday nights game or yesterday's who would you choose? No prizes for guessing the answer. As for wins this season against good sides I think that is a pipe dream with our injury list. Better hope they can hold on for 2020.
  20. That is the reality of life SPC. Lost my daughter to the bombers back in the early 90's and No.1 Grand daughter follows the Cats. Wise move by both, one has enjoyed premierships and the other will at minimum see lots of wins and finals action. The only fool in the family is me.
  21. Happy for you and sydee to have a higher opinion I just don't share it.
  22. I think we are going to disagree sydee. However if what you say is correct why is he in the senior side? It would seem following what you said he is not ready yet.
  23. How is the Yarra park project going?
