Spot on chook. And we got killed in the second half. Left at 20 min mark. We kicked 4 goals in the first quarter and 2 for rest of the day.
-
All willy that quarter they are 13 points up. Need a dramatic change to see Casey get up. Beaten most position s. Ball seldom in our forward line.
-
At Willy mono. Freezing but there is a contest here.

Far from the best conditions to show much skill as usual windy at willy does not favour good play. Most of the senior players are showing their skills are better than vfl. Looking at the G scores. Four or five here should be in next week. The Weid is playing well. Freezing here now the sun has vanished.
-
Wind increased turned into a defensive scramble. Weid has 3. Willy get one after the siren. 39 plays 24.
-
As you would expect Lewis a class above vfl. Casey have outplayed willy so far 4 goals to 3 points.
-
Casey 2 goals to nil. The Weird two good contested marks for two goals.
-
Good start to the day girls won easily by 35 points.

I was contemplating which game to go to today when I heard the news on radio changed direction and now at Willy. Weather not too bad so far considering we are taking about this ground. I thought I would gain more watching a few of the injured coming back.

Vs other weeks Steve?

Sadly we could easily be one of them DJ, the next two years are critical to our medium term survival as an important club.

Back in the tanking days I hated it DV8 and I still hate it. To do anything other than to try and win every game IMO creates an atmosphere that you don't have to give your best every game. You play every game to win, now wether you have the talent/game plan/ coaching ability is another matter.
-
Win every game possible and worry about the draft picks come September. If it 9th so be it.
-
Unless there has been a dramatic change amongst the board members DJ I don't believe there is any chance the Roos will change their minds about staying in Melbourne. IMO replacing the coach is all about him having been there for nearly ten years and they are not going anywhere fast. After nearly a decade it is time for a new coach. Simple in my view.
-
How on earth did you guess which one DJ? Obviously an astute follower of the game.

3 out of four ain't bad DJ

Nah just coincidence!!!!!!!

I have been there mentally since the end of April DF. We can consign 2019 to the MFC bin of regularity.

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ
old dee replied to Wiseblood's topic in Melbourne Demons
Anyone who things it is not hard is not across all the probems associated with the locations mentioned around the adjoining suburbs to the MCG. The two main ones as I understand it are, there is not enough room for a large enough playing area / facilities and or the local councils are against the change in use for these mainly public space areas. -

Agree dc he is like the boy with the barrow the job is in front of him. Not an easy one, he is trying to solve a problem that has existed for half a century and one that numerous administrations have failed at achieving. I think walking on water would be easier than this task. -

I would have swallowed that last line 30 years ago 58er. Now it does not hold water. Having said that you are right we have choice but to wait. -

How about him being in the middle of the Pies move to Olympic park? That seems a pretty good qualification to me. -

Demons Grand Plan for Yarra Park Training HQ

To me it seems the MFC has set themselves a very difficult objective i.e. To get a training ground close to the MCG. Once you set that as the major objective you are at the least making it difficult and at the most impossible. i am just like everyone else right now a mushroom! who knows the club might spring a Hugh surprise on us all and achieve that objective. It is extremely disappointing that the club that started the game has after half a century no home, we are the only team in the AFL in this position. Surprise me soon Mr Pert or for god sake let's move to the surburbs and give our team the best chance of success.
