  1. Imagine the storm from the possum protection society dc!
  2. I think I can safely say he is the clear favourite whipping boy of 2019 binman. He ain't as bad as a lot think.
  3. I think I had a full size lion.
  4. Wow Omac is the worst you have seen play the game That means two things to me either you ain't seen many and/or you were not watching the Dees 5 years ago.
  5. You know my opinion of Spargo so enough said.
  6. The one thing wrong with your theory rjay is that due to our long injury list the equivalent players this year are all playing in the seniors. There are a lot more "Casey" players in the mix every weekend. Without injuries the cusp players like JKH, Stretch and Wagner etc would be at Casey putting up similar numbers. IMO It is our injuries that are causing the problem.
  7. Don't agree on Chandler Chook, I though he did some nice things. He is still a baby.
  8. To be honest I was concentrating on four other players dd, and as such I probably missed some of his work. I would have put him on my ok list but that may have been unfair to him. Yes I like how him and Chandler are progressing, both are still quite young so not sure I would want to expose either to the top level yet. There is a long way to go for these guys IMO the worst thing we could do would be to put them in the seniors at present when the support for them this year would be low. Again only my opinion but it may be better to wait till 2020 there is plenty of time for them.
  9. Wagner had a good game and is probably the only one at Casey suited to the senior back line . But he has been in before and IMO is sadly one of those players who is good at VFL level but just not good enough at senior level. We are however down to the bottom of our reserves so he may get a run in Perth. Sparrow played around the mid field most of the day. Again IMO he is developing well but a back man? not sure I think his talents lie further up the field.
  10. See the comments in the Casey Vs Essendon thread.
  11. I am not trying to strangle all ideas RN , I am just giving the info I know. I would love one of the ideas to fly, the one thing I am very sure of is the MFC have throughly investigated all the options and it seems none are viable. What they may be working on now I like everyone else have no idea. I sincerely hope they can manufacture something in reasonable distance of the G which is our spiritual home. It is just an extremely difficult objective.
  12. No idea, but have you been to area of the Melbourne uni ground? The total area is not large and surrounded by uni buildings, I am a low level follower of Uni Blacks and I struggle with how we would get approval to effectively throw out both Uni Blacks and Uni Blues teams. Stranger things may happen but I cannot see it.
  13. Agree RN from what I saw yesterday we are down to the bottom. The problem is we have very large injuries and have now added Hibbert to the long term list. Whatever else we have done wrong the injury list is easily the biggest problem, no team could sustain the injuries we have and still be up in the first eight teams.
  14. Elsternwick was investigated as part of the PJ instigated survey and what I wrote were the findings. What people need to understand is it was a very intensive study and nothing in inner Melbourne was suitable. There were two main failings to all the alternatives. - the available land was not large enough to fit a G playing area ( or even close ) and there was no space for support building and parking. - local and state government had no desire to allow changes to the area e.g. Elsternwick being in the middle of a concentrated housing area. As well the same bodies had no desire to consume public parklands.
  15. It is almost right next to tulla airport not Essendon airport. Was out there Friday night a 2 minute drive to the terminal buildings.
  16. I think we had our miracle last night DJ.
  17. It has been investigated, little room for expansion and evidently the local council has no desire for expansion as it smack in the middle of a residential area.
  18. Looks like we are liable to loose two Backman. Of the MFC players at Casey the only one would be Petty and will he was ok at windy Hill, he did not put on a display that looked like it was AFL standard. Expect some gap filling in the back line. Smith should play along with the giant. Baker played ok but not a pick me game IMO.
  19. Yes but 76% are other clubs what enthusiasm do they have for helping the MFC? Zero
  20. Spot on DJ, expecting the MCC to do much for us is folly, they have ignored us for 50 years why would a change of heart happen now when the majority of members in 2019 are members of Hawthorn, Essendon, Collingwood and Carlton.
  21. We gifted them the Olympic park facility, so no ground near the G is left. They play at our home ground as though it is there own and have facilities. All forms of government are falling over themselves to gift them money and facilities. The MCC make way more money out The Pies than us. We share every thing in the G area with other codes. we are doing just fine!
  22. I was there yesterday DJ, a couple of years since my last visit and back then they had a decent scoreboard. I fortunately took my binoculars, yes folks it is that bad. I was surprised that Casey won so easily, Preuss took them apart even though I though he was used sparingly. It might be my imagination but I reckon he was used sparingly with a trip to WA in mind. I watch a couple of players closely ( well I tried ). while I thought Sparrow and Petty did there jobs well at this level Baker was the only one that looked worthy of a senior game later in the season. Of the kids I liked the game of Chandler, he was probably not in the top half dozen but showed some promise. If we don't pick Smith for a forward role in the team for Perth we have rocks in our heads. While he is never going to be a very good player at senior level he is a solid mark and a good kick for goal. Yesterday he was used around the centre quite a bit with good effect. Based on yesterday's form he and the Giant are the only ones I would pick for senior duties in WA.
  23. Isn't that the first requirement if public office?
