Agree LH what we need is a competition that has 22 rounds and starts the same week as the AFL. Anything less has serious implications on players not selected in the senior team. Just poor.

I am not bda, just annoys me that people won’t accept that we did not even interview him. Drafting young players is always a risk, lots of round 1 selections simply don’t make it. We are living proof of that. I hate the phrase “every other team would have taken the Trengove and Scully”, it is said with little if any proof that was the case.

It shows how poor this new league is WJ. What happens now with the QLD teams who are made up of players who are only semi professional? Any competition that does not allow the players who are part of AFL teams to play in a real game every week is poor from the start.

If you were Oliver would you rather play at the Dees with a solid chance of playing finals and a GF over the life of your contract. Or play with the bottom side who gets beaten 90% of the time for 15% more money? Easy choice for me.

Unless I am wrong he is not a free agent. If that is correct then we have the ability to decide his fate. Now we obviously want to keep him. But IMO there is a limit we should not exceed. If that is not good enough then we can demand the maximum from any club that wants him.

It does not alter the fact we did not even interview him when we took Trengove and Scully. That turned out well.

I don’t think anyone could afford him at the time let alone a broke MFC.

As I said did not see the game. Luke Jackson’s stats look ordinary. Have not seen any comment about him. How was his game.
