That’s a big ask for kids in their first year of AFL.

It would appear that you wont have to worry about him in the early part of 2021 DubDee.

Ernest I thought he suffered last year like a few others who were played out of position. He is a half forward or nothing IMO. It's like trying to turn Harmes into a Backman.
  4. A story in today's HUN says the AFL has told clubs to be prepared for numerous fixture changes and for teams being interstate for extended periods. My god imagine if Collingwood has to play away from Victoria! In another article they talk about crowd numbers at games this year. Seems the big clubs are already planning for ballots. But the higher paying memberships will be exempt. You would wonder why anyone would buy a tigers low level membership. You would not get in this year. Interesting there was comment on all clubs except the MFC. Probably because we don't have enough members for it to be a problem. I Expect another poor season to go to a game, Kayo is looking better every day.
  5. The AGM is Monday BDA. I will be really surprised if any thing has happened. The government has bigger problems than saving a silver tails footy club. It is a public park we are talking about being restricted to the public. If ever that is not going to happen quickly.
  6. Yes It might go down as the event of 2021.

But sadly I have to say Ernest accurate!
  8. ADC I understand you don't like Murdock but if you bid up the price to the Max then you eventually reach nothing left to give to the media. That is where the AFL is at, the last chip is the live broadcast app. Major sport sold its soul a while back. You want to watch AFL pay either by going to games or pay to watch it via the media.
  9. Very good first post deevotee I support your efforts but you are taking on a tough one. Good luck.

I read an article this morning Mr. Leg saying there will be a record number of houses built this year. This is no doubt being caused by the Football club effect or FCE for short.
  11. I thought that but few of a tender would know what you are talking about.
  12. My god I hope he performs as well.
  13. What you are from the Sudan NC?
  14. Speakeasies! You are showing your age Rab.
  15. How did a boy from Braybrook become a Deed fanatic?
  16. You are allowed a few errors 58er.
  17. Spot on LG. It wont change until there is a change to the old boys club which I doubt is any time soon.

    Is that possible SL?
  19. Gee thanks for reminding me of the Blazers AF.
  20. They have had a few cringe worthy lines to promote the club of recent times. Just marketing bull dust. We have had our share over the years.

It would not matter the wording. The original info is usually to down play the injury time. You can always come up with a line to explain the change.

When it comes to injury reports do you ever believe what is said by clubs? First when they are being honest ( hardly ever ) they are at best a guess. It is not a perfect science. And then there is the normal when they are trying to keep the troops sprits up by giving the best possible results. Can always give an excuse later why it is taking longer.
  23. I have been to a lot of AGM's and they are usually tightly controlled. Part of the Problem is MFC members are too polite ( me include ) and very seldom does anyone ask a difficult question. Re the new training facility, I was confident we would hear about it last year and nothing. I guess it is hard to report new developments when there are none.
  24. I have been to the footy with my friends and suggested we go the Richmond ground after a game and the answer is always lets go to X pub it is nicer. Now I am not suggesting that is what everyone does but I think the days of it being a big money spinner are over. Also when games are scheduled has an effect, would go after a night game that finishes at 10.30 to have one beer before the drive home?
  25. Ross I think you will find that most clubs are like this. That does not make it right just they way they operate. Saying that a Footy club is controlled by the members is in a lot of cases crap.
