I hope you do not have to wait that long billy. But it annoys me when you make smart remarks about the lack of patience of us older supporters. You may be right that some people on demonland are impatient. When you have been waiting as long as some on here than you will have the right to criticize the older members on Demonland. Will you still be a member in 2050 if we have only played in 2 GF's and won none? Time will tell!

That is your opinion RR. It could be equally said the MFC were treating them so poorly at finals time that they had to strike out on their own. Also I have seen no evidence that That BF has any detrimental effect on MFC players. A large amount of the BF thing is IMO histrionics and rhetoric. So we will differ on the subject of Casey

You are probably right re Bf, I do not subscribe to the theory that says he is holding back our player development. However we are never going to have our own vfl side while our finances are what they are. Add in the AFL desire for AFL teams to be associated with VFL teams and I just do not see us having our own VFL side. If that is the case and I see no chance of a change IMO in the next few years we should make the most of the relationship with Casey. Over the last few years we have dudded Casey badly when the MFC season has finished. It is IMO time to make amends. A little affection might work wonders!

Yes you would struggle to make a book on who had the biggest drop in form. However a certain Mr. B Green would be warm second favorite. From "All Australian" to doubts if he will get a contract let alone be captain is a very big fall as well.

Interesting that no one has added to this thread since monday. Does this mean ( it does to me ) that everyone has passed on the last match of the year? Does it mean for most the year is over? From the other threads talking about most improved, recruiting, next years captain etc I assume a very number of you do not care much about sunday's game.

Enjoy them jaded no matter what, time passes very quickly. my dad is long gone but I enjoyed those days with dad more than any since in spite of the results. Early days were trips from the country. Then he would come to melbourne to go with me. Time moves on and now I go with a couple of friends most weeks but it is never the same.

Well that makes me more depressed. Maybe I will start paying attention in January.

God he is not another skinny 17 year old is he? I know most are but can we please get someone of size who is ready to start in 2012 or 13 not 2016.

Last bit is correct I think. I saw him 3 times early in the season and he looked anything but an AFL standard player. However he has slowly come on as the season progressed. I have to keep reminding myself he had a very serious injury and was out for the best part of 1.5 seasons. 2011 has really been his first full season since being drafted.

Is it just me? The season feels over to me. I have little interest in what happens next sunday. however I am very keen to see the Casey game on Saturday. Thinking seriously of going on Saturday versus watching on TV.

Thank God for your attitude dee-luded. I thought I was crying in the wilderness. Imagine if these kids made the GF for Casey. As a group they would believe in each other and strength the bond. Thats why teams go to Arizona and the Kododa etc.

Agree HT but it was a subdued crowd I thought. A lady next to me said at the end of the Game. "gee we made hard work of that" That summed up the game for me.

Oh great so Casey are totally expendable! And the MFC have so much to achieve on Sunday! We have got to get a better attitude to our partnership with Casey.

So on that basis Both Petterd and Davey have finished their seasons as neither can play for Casey in finals. And you rob Casey of Bate and Fitzpatrick. With one game to go we should consider Casey first IMO. Bail (I do not think he can play for Casey ), Davey, J Mcdonald and Petterd ( if ok ) are in. OUT Jurrah, Mcnamara, T Macdonld and Jetta all the last three are needed at Casey. That Assumes Jurrah is injured
