  1. This does not surprise me if true. I was thinking this might happen once the dust settles in November.
  2. I agree, funny bb I have not had a call fromm CC either
  3. It is amazing that just 12 months ago he was "all Australian" and went off to play for Australia v the irish. Was made the captain of the club ( which I thought was a good move ) Now we are considering if he has a future at the club and if he will stay Or if we even want him! That must be the biggest fall from Grace of all time. I have been a critic this year but! The Poor bugger my heart goes out to him
  4. Not sure perhaps someone to pat me on the head and tell me it is all a dream.
  5. Hallelujah to that redleg But only if you can get past me in the Queue
  6. Ok mum is the word. When is you know who in next.
  7. Thats ( decision making )probably what worries me the most. We have not been very good at it in the past. Has everyone at the club been told to shut up. The silence on almost every subject is deafing.
  8. I think his best one was "don't get where the ball aint" Says it all for me.
  9. If I were the saints/ carlton I would look at him. In 2010 form he would be just what they need. Would not cost them much in the way of draft etc. Not sure how much the Dees will offer but I doubt it will be close to this years salary. I would not begrudge him a chance at Glory. Like Wells and Alves they gave us great support and left at the end of their carrers for a shot at the big time. He deserves more than we can offer over the next couple of years.
  10. Remindes me of that old saying about a stopped watch. At least it tells the right time twice a day. An inaccurate one never has the right time. When is the next one running just give me the nod. No one else will know ! I promise.
  11. No I don't but it will not help next year if we lose either of the next two games. I think the thing that worries me the most is the senior group is not good enough to get us through to the next stage. if you are correct about the "kids" then who is going to help get them there over the next couple of years? It is difficult to develop when you are getting thrashed. I see some very large problems ahead. I really do hope you are correct the alternative is too bad to think about.
  12. You are probably right and what would I do on winter weekends any way. Right now I would be happy just to find the bloody glass
  13. Flemo56 you have a lot of mates on that bus Standing room only at present.
  14. I like him too however he is like Green. he had a good year in 2010 and has been poor this year. I think he is a forward and that is it. We use him to fill holes and that is when his form seems to drop off. I remember him Kicking a goal from outside 50 at Brisbane last year. It won the game when it was up for grabs in the last quarter.
  15. I do not think we should push Bail he has been out a long time with a leg injury. I think last week was his first full game. There are bigger fish to fry with Bail in 2012. Let him get fitter at Casey with the view to next year. Guys like Bail are the future lets not drive them into the ground for a game at the end of 2011.
  16. Well at Sydney they won the flag and the saints got horribly close last year. I could handle a bit of that at the Dees.
  17. Oh please RR can you get over my negativity. Do you really think if we get beaten by the GC on sunday it will have no effect on the membership level next year? Our disagreement IMO stems from the fact I do not see the rosie future that you see. Sorry to be difficult but I would love you to show me where I am wrong.
  18. Oh so I am beneath your contempt RR. That is a great way to move forward. I am trying to self educate that is why I asked you for help. No suggestions? Ok I can only assume I am correct
  19. please explain to this dumb old guy. What are the differences?
  20. very good point RR. The only reason you would play Campbell IMO is if we really need to win. And that may just be the case. Imagine the effect of loosing to the GC at the end of this year, 10000 drop in membership next year?
  21. So RR at the end of 2007 we were a basket case with a poor team, no coach, in fighting at administration level, low position on the ladder with poor results and a $5 million debt. At the end of 2011 4 years later we have a poor team, no coach, in fighting at administration level, low position on the ladder with poorer results but we have eliminated the debt. So on the basis on success by important stepping stone we have taken one step in 4 years. Can you give me some idea when we will make it to the second stone. I am fast running out of years, at this rate from my view we may get there long after I am gone from this agony. I have been a little flipant but IMO the journey is at snail pace.
  22. HT we often disagree but on this one you have my 100% support. The only thing that bores me about the saints is how often they give us a belting.
  23. As a club we are way to nice. It starts at supporter level and goes all the way to the top. Essendon,Carlton, Hawthorn and Collingwood would be screaming the house down if they were in our position. The airwaves would be full of members demanding action. They expect success, demand it and in the end get it. We hope it all works out and give our club years and years to get it right. result we never do. when has one MFC person publically told GWS to [censored] off! Eddy does on our behalf how poor is that.
  24. You mean the press could be worse than this year! Perhaps a large part of the problem at the MFC is we are not ruthless.
  25. To be captain you have to have a contract to play. Green is out of contract at the end of 2011 I believe. He may not be at the Dees next year!
