Will Martin get his chance back or will they give Cook a go....
old dee replied to Hells Gates's topic in Melbourne Demons
That was quick Hells gate Just threw it in for a little fun. Tonight we need a little humour. Amazing how quickly things have changed in just 24 hours. High to despondent -

Agree on one Striker Fitzpatrick is under done follow his illness he only played Casey 2nds on the weekend. I doubt we will see him at AFL level for some time yet. -

We are going to disagree on this one SMF. I think it matters a lot. Cook is seriously under size Playing too early could ruin him. If the season is shot then why risk him? Let him play at Casey for 2012. Oh for Darling right now!!! -

That is a really poor reason to play him SMF. Cameron is played by GWS because there is no one else and the kid has talent. Watts was played too early and we know what happened he should not have played till the following year. Cook is the same, it is 2013 when he is up to playing with men. Don't feed him to the Lions because you are impatient. -

JR did you see him on saturday? Cook is still a skinny kid who looks average at Casey. He would get killed by the Lions back line as well as be pushed out of the road by an average size backman. He would be as imposing as the sea gulls that wander around during the breaks. If cook is to make it at AFL level he has to do a lot more yet at Casey. First step would be to put on 20KG. IMO it is Martin In, there is no one else at present, all the other possibilities are injured or not fit enough for a full game at AFL level. So it is your Labrador I am afraid -
Hell! I suppose that is where demons come from But can this club take a trick in 2012. I am going to this game in Brisbane Tonights news is devastating. Thought we had a good chance but now it looks a lot harder. Just have to prepare myself for a brother rabbiting on about the Lions all bloody weekend. Changes: Really it has to be Martin in I guess he is the only one that fits the bill if you look at the ones that played at casey on saturday. Tapscott is not a key position player so unless there is another injury it is Out: Clark In: Martin

Thanks for the idea DC Yes Mrs OD does sow however not sure she will do the job mate. Bloody Pies fan. However it has given me a great idea for a blanket for No.1 Granddaughter. Now that will put the cat among the piegons! Or perhaps the dee among the pies!

I would never have guessed!

Don't agree rpfc I think Dunn is worth having around. We are desperately short of big bodied players with experience ( 90 games ) He can play a number of spots, Has turned in some very good games in the past against good teams. He quite often gets the unglamours jobs. He can kick a mile and he is tough never gives up. He is a keep for mine

That is two of us PSD

Well BB it makes all our "away" strips over the last 10 years look wonderful. I thought they had stolen it from the local Bowls club. It was 99% white. Perhaps Mrs S is their designer

I canned this bloke in the first two months! However he has showed a bit over the last three weeks. The next 10 weeks will be interesting. I might have to eat humble pie.

What him catching fire!!!!

Why did GWS play in a white jumper today. Please Mr. AFL do not tell me there was a clash. Grey and orange vs Red and Blue!! Oh please
-
Funnier things have happened Jr But he is seriously under sized. Did you see him on saturday. Based on that game and his size he does not look anywhere near ready for AFL level.
-
Could not agree more He is easily the best. When that left fotot gets going he drops them down players throats. Some beauties today perfectly weighted
-
I think you are being a bit disingenious there RM. I thought he gave it 100% all day, he messed up a couple of things but I thought it was his best game since 2010. Cut him a little slack IMO he played well today.
-
Yes but do you remember who that win was against???
-
I know it is only GWS mate but yes it is a lot better than the crap of a lot of this year. Enjoy the warmth next week wyl

100% agreement RB. The more I think about the decision to go with DB the more I think we made the wrong move. Sheedy would not have denuded the senior players in the same way DB did. We would now have a list of Good senior players and developing juniors. Not a list of mainly Has been seniors and Kids who are struggling to get up to AFL standard. The guy has forgotten more than most at the MFC know.

Could not agree more RM. However to give a few a small excuse it was bad weather and games at Sandy in June / July never turn into much as far as skill goes.
