Sorry wyl I do not believe that is true. Scully is one player we are a whole team. three quarters of our team played below AFL standard football all year. The two things are not comparable.

Redleg I am not sure why you are so offended. We were effectively the worst team in 2012 with one genuine win. We acknowledge we have a poor list and we played what may be our worst football in 48 years. Is he not just stating the obvious. or did I miss something in our performances this year.

You have got it nailed there H_T Anywhere in sport you like to check free agency means the powerful stay powerful and the weak stay down. The only saving grace is the AFL does have a Salary cap. Even with this saver it makes the job of the clubs like the MFC much harder. Our drafting over the next couple of years is going to be critical to the very survival of the MFC. If we are still in the bottom half dozen in 2015 we are doomed to be an also ran for as long as we survive after that time. Poor drafting like the last ten years will IMO see the end of the club around the end of this decade.

We have assumed unwisely for a number of years that high draft picks turn into very good players. This has been our folly lets not go down this path again. We need seasoned players as well as kids.

The administration is safe till the end of 2013 IMO While the majority have been around for the four years their bold moves at the end of 2012 have gained them a little time. However another year like 2012 in 2013 will see the wolves baying for blood. The biggest problem wyl is do we actually have any alternatives at board level? I don't expect miracles but enough of the games that are over at quarter time. In 2013 I want 6 wins against sides above us and only a couple of 10+ goal losses. That is the best I can see in 2013 but I have little confidence it will be achieved.

You are always allowed wyl, well in my book you are. I really enjoyed yesterday. It was good to watch a GF and not really care who won. I thought I enjoyed it way more that a lot in recent times. Back to the Dees I think Spineless is a little rough, I have no doubt they everyone at the MFC in 2012 wanted to win badly. The problem as I see it is we are trying to undo a decade of poor drafting, poor administration and lack of funds. That is not going to be achieved in five minutes. I do think we have a poor list and thai it will take a number of years to correct. Unfortunately we are at the end of year one in a multi year plan. 2013 and 2014 are going to be very hard going. I hope the Administration and fans have the fortitude to go the distance.
