  1. wyl for a few seconds I thought you were telling me I was an AFL footballer with a drug problem Would not mind being a) young enough B) have enough talent
  2. Not sure the AFL can do a lot more about this problem. It is part of society now and guess what AFL players are part of society. I have two very close friends who have big problems with their 30"s year old sons. I would have thought both families would not have this problem But how wrong was I. Besides education and testing I am not sure what else you can do.
  3. So a Vic terrace house was 1 rood wide. Thanks I will look a marvel next time I am asked!!!
  4. Do not be sorry more info is always better than not enough.
  5. I think you can spell it either way i.e. roods or rodds. You will not believe this but I remember a rood was 5.5 yards or 16'6" Have not had to think about that for a while. Our Kiwi cousins still use perch's to describe the size of housing blocks. Don't ask i have no idea how big a Perch is
  6. Yes and I Think we lost Jamar, Gawn, Spencer and Fitzpatrick all in the one weekend. Two of them to season ending injuries.
  7. Says more about my vintage than anything else How does "looks to have increased his running speed" grab you?
  8. Will pay to wait till the real games start PSD. Early signs look promising but remember it is late November everyone tends to look good. Lets wait till April for proof positive. Amazing how when you go to training and get close to the players how much bigger they look than at the G where you are along way from the action. Tom Mac is a big boy when you see him up close. I was also surprised at the size of Spencer he has always been tall but he appears to have gained weight and muscle since August. I thought he was good today seems to have gained half a yard of speed as well. He gets canned a lot about his kicking well today he hit almost every target.
  9. I went today as well Deestroy all. Agree with above and earlier posters. Also agree with your comments on Davey. I was pleasantly surprised I thought he put in a solid session. We should remember he is coming back from injury and it is only the end of November. 3+ months till the Nab cup.
  10. Stopped in at training today and one of the main reasons was to check out Davey. Now in the time I was there most of the training today seemed to be mainly based around game simulation. I was pleasantly surprised. He seemed to be holding his own today. His kicking is still a treat to watch Ithink he missed one target in the entire time I was there. He was envolved in all the training till I left at about 11.30 Now we have to remember it is the end of November, there is three months before the Nab Cup starts. Given another 3 months without further injury I think he could still earn his money in 2013.
  11. Funny Robbie I have not heard that word mentioned in weeks. The recruitment defenders "Its only Poor development" seem to have vanished. Perhaps they are keeping their power dry for when Cook kicks 10 at Manangatang!
  12. Devotion beyond the call of duty FNQ demon. I suggest a medal should be struck in your honour. Cannot think of a good name. Any suggestions?
  13. So after 133 pages we start again. This thread will not die so whoever deleted the original. Bad luck we will not go away. And just so you know. Bananas on my cereal were bloody wonderful this morning. How many days to the rookie draft bb? How is the cold Mr. Leg? Still hanging in there dc? Maintain the rage
  14. I remember a certain TS saying something similar. Time will tell
  15. I asked the same question this morning Redleg. Waiting for nasher to get back to me. Nearly choked on my morning Coffee
  16. Not sure being on the bench means much these days. Usually means you are on the ground at the 4 minute mark
  17. I think most people were like me Da Called him Aussie because the rest was far too hard.
  18. Not sure we are far apart wyl IMO Injuries will be the difference between 8 and 10 wins A good run and we could sneak 10
  19. Compare it to 4 this year and numerous belting's wyl in 2012 we were uncompetitive in 80% of our games If we win 8 and are competitive in the others It will IMO have been a good year by comparison. We have a long climb ahead it will take a number of years to get into finals particularly the top 4. 2013 is the first step on a long journey
  20. Let your anger subside a little rpfc I agree with you there was no one to replace him that is my point. If he displayed the same form at Hawthorn would he have played all the games he did?
  21. Prefer not to think about your arse rpfc. Seriously that is your opinion I have a different view. I thought he had a number of ordinary games in 2012. The fact there was no one at Casey to replace him supports my view. I hope your right, we will see in the year ahead
  22. What we have come to is: The past 5 years have seen us get belted on a regular basis, finish in the bottom four 3 times and on the bottom twice. Get beaten by 186 points in 2011 and be uncompetitive in 16 games in 2012. And that is my point billy we are coming from a very long way back. I will be very happy with 8 wins in 2013
