  1. Not me. You can count me in he's already [censored] off faction. When this charade is over there will no left to fight with but yourself.
  2. I tend to think we might have a good game. My reasons are we tend to play better after a post Hawthorn shaming. Where there is life there is hope and we still have finals incentive. Geelong have been slightly off the boil recently and no doubt would have penciled this game in as a certainty a long time ago. A lazy performance by them is not out of the question. Of course I'm placing faith that our boys are going to go in a 100%. If we do play at our best, the large ground will suit us unless wet and/or windy. And why not, we have nothing to lose. Plus strange things can happen when there are crazy odds like I'm seeing on places like Betfair. I still think it will be difficult to win but I anticipate a good effort from us. The optimist in me predicts a 17 point win for us. Now you can all laugh.
  3. Agree, there would be quite a few "I rate" players in our team that would look far more accomplished and complete if they played for Collingwood. But I like his character.
  4. Jeez did they get Thomas out of the filths craws?
  5. Thats a great gesture. Thank you Anthony. If you are at the game I hope we can play in the spirit that Sean would have and make it a classic match.
  6. Someone said a while ago that Knee Soreness is an euphemism for Kevin Sheedy.
  7. No, its just his usual hectoring.
  8. I have a niggling feeling. Don't know why but sometimes I think we wont see much more of Flash in red and blue.
  9. I imagine its going to be peppered with lots of man love for his lifetime hero Kevin Sheedy and how it was his life dream to play under him.
  10. Intuition is a concept incomprehensible for those who have blind faith and only believe what they want to believe. I would have liked Tom to come clean early on that he would play elsewhere next season. Just like they do in rugby and world soccer and every other major football code. It would have been the honourable thing to take his bitter medicine early and make a quick recovery. But continuing this charade will leave a permanent scar on his reputation I believe.
  11. At the time Clarkson was allegedly refusing an extension on his contract. As far as I am concerned that made him a fair target and an opportunity worth investigating. Now there are media reports he may be a good fit for the Crows. I hate to think they might have a better chance of snaring him if he doesn't coach Hawthorn next season.
  12. Unfashionable it was because no one was talking about him at the time when I started the thread. Everyone had Malthouse or Roos on their lips.
  13. Just to refresh your mind. Read this
  14. Yes I think so. But are they available or willing? Earlier in the season I started a thread to consider Clarkson when it was unfashionable. I like his attitude and he is still in his prime. I admire the way he's developed Hawthorn. Last week it was like watching a genuine AFL side playing against a VFL side. Their disciplined passing and slick close in ball handling game with very few turnovers was sublime but painful to watch. They got a lot of new kids in the team but play like real professionals.
  15. Yep, these days it appears we have an ingrained culture of mediocrity and any genuine development appears still born. The club still resonates with the recent ungracious departures of highly paid dead wood. There are allegedly grumblings and mutterings from senior players on superstar salaries who continue to under perform. Is this the coaches fault? Mostly not I believe.
  16. Dont forget the win at the Gabba last year against the Lions. But they were just as bad if not worse as Port at the time. The only decent effort against interstate sides I can remember under Dean was the second half against Fremantle last year. But that was after one of our worst first half efforts for the season.
  17. Sadly as a poor goat herder for the past 46 years I cannot offer more. I curse a thousand deaths to those who can offer camels and donkeys.
  18. All this obsession with bananas and voyeuristic tendencies. I"ve seen you peeking. Monastic life is not good.
  19. But that is my final offer. Nice young boy, good teeth but can he bend zee neez?
  20. Perhaps this is an indication of a lack of interest from some high profile glitterati candidates. But fair enough if he gets 10 and we are spurned by the big names then by all means give him a chance to stick it up them. Has he enough internal support though?
  21. He needs someone like Malthouse to sort him out. Will make it or break in quicktime with him around. Is not going to get the right kind of direction(either up or out) with our current coaching.
  22. I offer 4 & 20 shekel's.
  23. And sucked blood out of our club like vampires they are.
  24. Don't twist things around. Do you want to get me suspended again?
  25. Want to know a bargain? Buy banana chips. Only 4.99 a killo at Woolies or even cheaper at Preston Market..
