Like your work M'boy but don't you think it is a tad early for a pre-game analysis? -
Thank you Doctor but I believe you are getting de cart before the de donkey.

RD 1 2014 - v St. Kilda @ Etihad Saturday Night
Bitter but optimistic replied to demonkeaney's topic in Melbourne Demons
FMD the optimism has started already. I remember well last season how we were talking about the favourable draw and how 6 wins were likely before.... FMD! Hello fellow groundhogs (WTFTA). -
Well guys, I just hope that we are not having a 6 page arse kick in 2016 of one of our 2013 selections. Say a prayer for that Lord!

Thanks Biff. I put the choirboy there for Moon's benefit.

You really are a narrow and unimaginative fellow moon - I'll pray to Lord weaver to provide you with some suitable inspiration or quotations for reflection. BTW this is a a dud thread - Cale is history ( and apart from the injustice alluded to above ) let's move on.

How about dreams?

Correct. It is dead set unfair that this kid is branded as a squib over a bit of selective editing. He ran to position for the continuation of play. I clearly remember the commentator jokes at the time but they were followed by the appropriate qualifiers. This continued "run away" story is pure nonsense.Edit. Nasher is a faster typist than me.

MELBOURNE HAS GOT THE MOST MEMBERS!!!
Bitter but optimistic replied to InVINCEable's topic in Melbourne Demons
Thanks Al. I usually pay in one hit so that maybe a factor. I haven't received any paperwork yet so I guess the next few days will tell. -
Actually Ben I believe 2014 was the year where Col would have had opportunity to shine. You're right his best pos is high half forward. Unfortunately we expected/ needed him to be a key forward in the past. With the arrival of Hogan, and if our other big forwards are fit, I could picture Col doing serious damage as either a leading forward, a crumbing forward or simply someone who knows how to kick a goal while drawing the fourth defender.I regretted him going for "what might have been". Of course it is, sadly, only speculation Vince isn't a high accumulator and nor is Sylvia.

MELBOURNE HAS GOT THE MOST MEMBERS!!!
Bitter but optimistic replied to InVINCEable's topic in Melbourne Demons
This is interesting! I rang the club about 3 weeks ago re upgrading my membership ( I am on auto rollover) The young lady I spoke to said I would be contacted on or after 31/10. If our membership is up now it will really spike on 31/10. Or, am I misreading this? -
Correct Moon (first time ever). In his All Aus year he managed to hit Moloney regularly. However, all he has done since is hit to his toes. It's quite amazing really because he can do some great body work to get the tap but then, it is simply wasted. Let's move forward with Spencer and Gawn.

Where do we want Jack Watts playing next year?

It seems our stars are somewhat aligned 'wocky. -

Jack does not have the right shape to get under the pack and get the pill out. However I like him as that first receive/outside option. He is a good decision maker, quite poised and able to deliver the ball deep forward to our (hopefully fit) tall forwards. -

Be careful who you listen to young man - there are a lot of wierdos on this site. -
How much football have Demonland members played?
Bitter but optimistic replied to Nasher's topic in Melbourne Demons
He was probably well practised but continued to aim for constant improvement. A fine example to his flock. -

No doubt it improved your ball handling Lord. -

Some good stuff above but there seems a very sad and recurrent theme that a number of champion careers were cut short by injury.
