Jake Lever Out for a Month
Only a Melbourne player could cop a whack to the head and end up having surgery on his knee!

NON-MFC: Round 10
Yep - Tiges getting nothing. That 50 against Rioli was pathetic.

MelbourneFC.com.au Media Thread
Bumping this thread as the content on the official MFC channel has improved significantly over the past few weeks - perhaps no coincidence that it’s been since the return of Mme Petits Fours to the fold? Well done, team!

It sounds as though Ben is in a better place now, which is terrific.

TRAINING: Sunday 7th April, 2024
Was that @WalkingCivilWar taking the money? I should’ve said hi, whilst making her go back and forth for the Pepsi Max! Maybe we should have a designated Demonland area for those wishing to say hello?

PODCAST: Rd 03 vs Port Adelaide
H fellas - a couple of observations from me: - I’ve posted over the last year or so that we have looked heavy or under pressure in games: a stark contrast to 2021, where we played with freedom and flair. Whether this was the weight of expectation or not, we seem to have returned to a more joyous way of playing this season, which no doubt has contributed to our good start. - Hats off to Lingers, who is starting to return to his best. The last couple of games have seen the return of his gut running return and his defensive ability, helping the transition from the back line. A fit and firing Lingers is a joy to see!

Crowd numbers - my perspective
Why do they play Melbourne games at the 'G?! Because it's our home ground! Why do they let other teams play there is a more pertinent question. I actually thought 44k was pretty good yesterday, given the weather. The Shane Warne stand (where I sit) is always going to be emptier than the MCC, which was pretty full all around to the Olympic Stand, for Melbourne games. As an aside - we have a great view from our seats, but those sunny afternoon games early in the season are a killer!

NON-MFC: Round 01
To top it off, we have to see Cameron Ling’s cheesy grin, cracking inbred Geelong in-jokes with Dangerfield and Holmes.

Harrison Petty
I find it interesting that the accepted narrative in footy journalism is to speculate about player moves before most teams have even started the year. We’ve had Oliver, Petty, JUH amongst others. I thought it was ‘not done’ to speak about other teams’ contracted players? In public at least? This industry is becoming a deeper and darker cesspool, with the journalists lying on their backs at the bottom, feeding on it all.

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
- Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
Correct - the desperation for relevance from some of these people is beyond ridiculous. Oliver is in the middle of a massive contract - no team can afford to give us what is required for us to give up Clarry.- PODCAST: 2024 Season Preview
- Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
Absolutely correct - he may not have intended to have ended his career, but no doubt he was intending to leave a bit on Gus. He'll have to live with that - as Gus said, the scans showed that there was a significant damage after the QF. Pies fans still saying nothing to see here - Maynard got off. Doesn't make it alright.- Angus Brayshaw Forced into Retirement
- From the ashes rises the strongest…
Great pick up! Love it! 18 years?! Pfff! Peanuts - we've waited 57 before! No - I believe that the great avenger is already a Dees player - in the midst of adversity, people with character come to the fore! - Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
